Went for our anniversary. Used to go every year for our anniversary until about 4 years ago. Went tonight and was so disappointed. No hot rocks no baked 3 cheese pasta and no chocolate bag missed the homemade bread and garlic dipping sauce has to purchase bread wasn’t homemade. Very expensive for what we received. We went every year for 14 years and used to have to wait for a table. Didn’t wait at all. Very disappointed

The atmosphere was nice (enjoyed the rustic beam look) and the food was pretty tasty. So if that is all you need to know stop right here and check it out. However, if you are looking for family friendly (like we were) I think it's important to know a few things.. strollers are welcome if you can fold them down and store them in the atrium. All the families get sat in the room to left which has very spacious table sizing so it actually was kind of nice. They don't have high chairs so be prepared to have your child sit on your lap. There is no kids menu, so if you order something for them be prepared to have the portion (and price) of the regular dish.
Kid-friendliness: Not ideal. No highchair, no kids menu

I got the chicken Marsala which was delicious, and my husband got the shrimp scampi and said it was the best he’s ever had. The garlic bread is incredible. The atmosphere is very cozy. Will definitely be back next time we’re in Mystic.

My go-to when in Mystic! Authentic Italian food like Nonna would make for Sunday Dinner! The bar is fun and usually jammed with the locals. Happy Hour is one of the best in Mystic.

Located about 100 feet from the water on Holmes Street, AJs offers an intimate, but family friendly atmosphere with delicious Italian Food, including homemade pasta. Other than salads, there is not much for appetizers but the main menu is extensive. The great food and jazz-inspired atmosphere is an excellent choice for those looking to escape the hectic, busy downtown touristy area.

Don’t pass on the Suppi and Garlic pizza. First time to have Suppi. Haven’t heard of it or had it? Eat it!
‘Twas amazing.
Pizza had a great crust. Crispy, thin, and chewy.
Pasta was cooked perfectly.
Lots of good things going on here.

After enjoying the downtown Mystic art show, I stopped in to AJ for a bite to eat. The cucumber martini was absolutely refreshing on an August afternoon. I had calamari for an appetizer. Bits of pepper gave it a zing.
My entree was everything crusted salmon. Cooked perfectly, the sesame seed crust seared on the outside snapped while the inside was tender. Along side potatoes and broccoli.
Lastly was the fig cheesecake. Surprise layer in the crust of nut and fig giving the cheesecake its smooth texture.
Our server was attentive and informative.
The upstairs balcony was a shady place to enjoy this delightful meal. I recommend AJs….. 97 steps from the Flagpole!

5 starts all the way. Bolognese so creamy, hearty and delicious. Little bit spicy but still marvelous. Laura helped us and she very friendly.
We had fresh squeezed orange juice.
Outside atmosphere is beautiful and romantic. Inside as well! Come check it out

We are local, so we went for lunch at 1:30. We were told that the "hot rocks" are only offered outside now. So we went up to the outdoor tables only to be told they were only served at supper. A look at their lunch menu on line shows the hot rocks for lunch. We went somewhere else

The place is nice. Great service, great ambiance and pretty good food. I gave it only one star because of one thing. I was charged $20.00 for a draft Peroni beer. I had two. $40.00 for two 12-ounce draft beers is ridiculous. I will not go back and I suggest that anyone that does asks how much a beer costs before ordering it.

Very cute bistro with a short but excellent menu. The Veal Osso Buco was to DIE FOR… the garlic bread is good, but nothing too exceptional… my daughter had the meatball melt and she said they had the best meatballs she ever had… overall, good dining experience for the price.
