Great friendly service! Courtyard pizza is so delicious. The food is fresh and flavorful, well portioned. We ordered 3 entrees, 1 pizza, 1 promo (broccoli rabe not pictured), and a dessert for 6 people. It was the perfect amount of food. The tiramisu has such a clean and aromatic liquor and coffee flavor that doesn’t overpower, and the mascarpone is so light and lovely.

The food here is mediocre at best. We had Chicken Marsala, Shrimp Scampi, Fried Mozzarella. The pasta in Chicken Marsala was overcooked and the taste was not good. my mother who was having the shrimp scampi said “it was different” which is never a good sign. The shrimps were huge, I can say that. What do you expect when the food comes out in 5 min after you order it’s clear either chef Mic had a hand in this or the chef just can’t cook. The fried Mozzarella was actually good. Here is my biggest issue the prices $34 a plate for something I could have made better at home. Everything felt quick and rushed. The restaurant does have lovely outdoor seating but what good is that if the food is not enjoyable.

Luckily ended up here based on the failure of the Engine Room to accommodate. The atmosphere was relaxing and low key. There were many good dinner options and drinks available. It was a little pricier than I would have thought, but otherwise everything was good from the service to the food.

We looked at the reviews before going here. Their filet minon had great reviews. Unfortunately, there was no steak on the menu upon arrival. We didn't even see burgers on the menu. Pizza, salads, drinks, etc. So we just got drinks and garlic bread before finding somewhere else to eat. Due to the menu selection and the garlic bread quality, I have to give the food 3 stars. The atmosphere, however, was amazing. Brick and stone walls. Cozy jazz feel. Everything was highly esthetically pleasing. The waitresses were OK. Not overly friendly but not really lacking either, so no complaints there. The drinks were decent, but there was nothing to write home about. Better drinks at The Engine Room and even better drinks at The Mariner.

We will be back again to try their pizza when we are in the mood for pizza.

Rather underwhelming for the prices. I'm just not paying $12 for a local beer with a minimal carbon footprint.

Absolutely lovely dinner here! The food was amazing! The desserts were huge! Our waitress Laura was so pleasant and sweet. So glad we stopped in, would definitely come again if we pass through the area. AJ’s was a great way to end the night for my family’s weekend vacation.

The food took a while to arrive, but I was there on a weekday, so it looked like they only had one server available.

Went for our anniversary. Used to go every year for our anniversary until about 4 years ago. Went tonight and was so disappointed. No hot rocks no baked 3 cheese pasta and no chocolate bag missed the homemade bread and garlic dipping sauce has to purchase bread wasn’t homemade. Very expensive for what we received. We went every year for 14 years and used to have to wait for a table. Didn’t wait at all. Very disappointed

The atmosphere was nice (enjoyed the rustic beam look) and the food was pretty tasty. So if that is all you need to know stop right here and check it out. However, if you are looking for family friendly (like we were) I think it's important to know a few things.. strollers are welcome if you can fold them down and store them in the atrium. All the families get sat in the room to left which has very spacious table sizing so it actually was kind of nice. They don't have high chairs so be prepared to have your child sit on your lap. There is no kids menu, so if you order something for them be prepared to have the portion (and price) of the regular dish.

Kid-friendliness: Not ideal. No highchair, no kids menu

I got the chicken Marsala which was delicious, and my husband got the shrimp scampi and said it was the best he’s ever had. The garlic bread is incredible. The atmosphere is very cozy. Will definitely be back next time we’re in Mystic.
