It was ok Food was pretty bland like I could eat it but I wouldn't come back again for it The corn bread was really good specifically with the butter, it was kinda dry without it The shake was very small for the price But overall the staff was super friendly and that was the best part

Amazing food and ambience. Very crowded but worth the wait. Service was beyond great!

Amazing service and good food. Recommending the hush puppies and chicken melt. We had the BEST waitress.

It's a really nice environment to be in. If you're like me and prefer less crowded restaurants, go for dinner as late as possible. We went at 7pm, and it was the ONLY time I've seen empty seats there. I'm just not a fan of packed places. The food is amazing, and I love looking into the kitchen to see what the cooks are preparing. Thank you for a great time, each time!Parking: There's a parking lot in the rear of the building; super convenient. There's also street parking towards the front of the building as well.

I've been coming here for many years. If you like beer and burgers this is the place to go. That being said, the last two times I've gotten the mussels there they were BUNK. couldn't even eat half of them, and they skimp on the coconut broth now so there's not anything to compensate for bad mussels. the toasted bread that comes w it is good but I think they give you less than before. also, they will charge you more on the bill than what's on the menu- the fries they always charge a dollar more than what's advertised and they round up for themselves if you pay in cash? like Dan Meiser really needs any more money. the happy hour hotdog is delicious, the hh burger has been very crispy if that's what you're into. hush puppies are good. Would not recommend any of the seasonal dinner specials because they're super overpriced and not really that great. I got the swordfish special over the winter and wished I just made it at home for half the price. They have a good deal for a $15 burger beer special on mondays, a new burger every time. the other burgers are pretty good, definitely good quality meat, but they cook it under every time. so if you want a medium, say medium well or it will be certainly be rare.

Fun place and atmosphere- host seated us promptly and at a great table even though we were only a party of 3 , we had a nice booth. Much much much better host / waitress staff than Reds 36 - stay clear from there- pretentious young hostess and staff ( all lingering around the hostess stand doing nothing) they were beyond rude- we walked out and found this gem!!! Much more lively , filled with great people, food, drinks...

The Engine Room is a quick walk from the shops on busy West Main St and East Main St in downtown Mystic. Our attentive server, Emily, went above and beyond making sure our party of three was well taken care of. Even though she had several other tables, she made us feel like we were her only customers. Though new to this restaurant, she confidently gave food and drink suggestions like she's been there forever. I got the loaded potato soup and the spinach salad with a specialty lemonade cocktail. No detail was overlooked... very utilitarian, yet charming establishment with reasonable prices, a nice variety of food, and excellent service!

Every time I've been to this place it is usually crowded and the only space to sit at the bar for food. Why ch is great. The place is family friendly which is great too. It is very chill relaxing place to eat with friends and family. They have good draft options. And the food was so delicious. There is more parking in the back. Then you have to do street parking which is difficult in Mystic .

Been here 6 times over 4 years of me going to Mystic for vacation. Each time the food is great and the staff is wonderful. The place is kid friendly and has outdoor seating. Every time I go there the tables are always clean too.

The atmosphere was great here unique things to look at on the walls bar was packed so it was a wait for our drinks My son-in-law ate a steak and he said it was excellent My husband had the half chicken which also he said was excellent My daughter ordered a salad without the avocado due to the fact that she is allergic and they still put the avocados on her salad after she informed them of her allergy I have a cheeseburger and I did not like the cheeseburger either The wait staff did not listen to our order or the cook did not listen to the waitress either way they messed up on two of our dishes

Engine room is a reliably good meal every time. It's not revolutionary or anything but everything is fresh and very tasty. Sometimes it can be somewhat of a long time to get things, but that's forgivable with how busy they usually are.

This place is just off Main St downtown Mystic. It's was a Saturday evening and this place was crowded. We managed to get a table in the bar without a wait. The waitress was busy so not very attentive. She was pleasant and did pass by, so easy enough to grab her if you needed to. Water was brought to the table without ice. There are lots of draft beers on tap. The menu is small, but something for everyone. From fish and chips to burgers. My husband got a double burger. His first impression was that it's small...it's 2 3oz burgers. Upon his first bite he was amazed. It was delicious!! He didn't leave a crumb behind. I got the chicken melt sandwich. It was also delicious, although my bread fell apart. The fries are fresh and perfect. We also got the cowboy dip...a cream cheese dip with candies jalapeños. It was different but tasty. There were quite a few options for dessert also, but we opted out. Definitely worth a stop if your in Mystic.

This is one of my go to places in Mystic. Normally sit at the bar. There are usually three bar tenders working so the service is excellent. Great cocktails at reasonable prices. Super friendly staff and always a good meal.
