We had an amazing time celebrating my son's 17th birthday with a birthday dinner at Acapulco's in Stratford, CT! The vibe was fun and everyone who works there helped make my son's birthday a memorable one! We love hiw the servers and others in the restaurant joined us in singing happy birthday to him. Food was delicious!

We have been going to Acapulco's for years - great food and atmosphere. The servers are always friendly and food and drinks arrive quickly. We both ordered a shrimp dish for our entrees and they were out of this world! We definitely plan to try more of the dishes on the menu on our next visit.

My husband and I used to be the biggest fans of a local competitor to Acapulco and unfortunately, the quality of their food tanked. Acapulco was soooo good. We can’t wait to go back. My husband had the fajita chimichanga and loved it. I had the carne asada and it was SO GOOD. Service is always great. Coconut Margarita was good. We will definitely be back.

We always liked Acapulcos. It had been a while since we got food from here and I was really craving it. We got fajitas for 2, chicken wings, and nachos idaho. The fajitas for two used to come with 2 containers of rice and beans tonight we only received one. I don't know if that's all you get now or if it was a mistake but for $41.99 just for the fajitas for two that's insane. The total check was almost $78 and everything was bland and our kids who were trying this for the first time couldn't even eat it. Needless to say we won't be ordering again from this restaurant. It's such a shame because they used to be really good.

I think average is as fair of a score I can give it. I’d give it a 2.5 stars if I could to make it really even. The chips and salsa were, Mexican restaurant average. Chips were warm which was I happy about, and the salsa was standard Mexican restaurant salsa. I ordered guacamole and they asked if I wanted the jalapeños, yes I wanted the jalapeños haha. The guac was too chunky for me, some people may like the chunky almost salad-like guac, I just prefer the thick creamy type of guac. So the guac is just……okay to me. Now let’s talk about the main course. I did your standard 3 tacos with steak. Came with rice and beans. The rice and refried beans are like ALL Mexican restaurants rice and refried beans, nothing special at all just the bland rice with the beans and a lil cheese on top. The tacos were………just okay again. The tortilla was nice and crispy, the onions and cilantro are…..onions and cilantro what more can you expect? Lmao. Now this is where I was disappointed, the steak was UNseasoned and dry. :(. I was begging for flavor. Dipping it in the salsa, putting lime juice on it, putting the chunky guac on it, it was just plain Jane. The service was just okay too, they did their job and that’s about it. If you’re looking to go to flavor town this place isn’t it. There are so many Spanish places within the 2 mile radius you can get that mouth watering experience with. If you want a standard bare bones basic Mexican restaurant experience, yeah this is it. If you don’t like seasoned food, this place is it. $32.18 of mid for me. Will I return??????…………nah I think I’ve uncovered this mystery. ON TO THE NEXT!!

This place went downhill so fast. They don’t eve serve guac here they serve pico de gallo with diced avocados. NOT THE SAME THING. I miss the old acapolcos.
Worst Mexican food I’ve had in a long time. This spot has lost their touch.

For Mexican food, they need to use significantly more spices. My dish was so boring, no heat at all (beef enchiladas)

A friend and I met here for lunch and had a pretty good meal. I ordered the vegetarian green burrito, which was pretty big and stuffed with veggies (although most of them were mushrooms). My friend's Vallarta Salad was also gigantic. We got complimentary chips and salsa at the beginning. Food came out quickly, the staff were friendly, and prices were standard for a Mexican restaurant.
My favorite Mexican restaurant. We live out of state now but recently went back to Stratford for a wedding. Made sure to eat here with friends while we were in town. One of the few things I miss in CT.
