We've been to La Fortuna 2 or 3 times and have always enjoyed our experience. My husband decided that we should take Easter off and go out to dinner. He called to make a reservation for 1pm.When we arrived, the restaurant was bright and festive. We were created by smiling faces and Happy Easter's. As they brought us to our table, the bartender acknowledged us and said happy Easter with a bug smile. The manager was visible throughout the restaurant greeting and checking on patrons as well as providing backup as needed to the waitstaff.Our waiter was Marco. He created us and took our drink order to give us time to look at the menu. The bartender brought our drinks and chatted. I was happy that their regular menu was available and had planned on ordering something from there until we saw the specials. We started with tri color insalata...so fresh and the dressing was so good. We then ordered the stuffed salmon which was stuffed with crabmeat and shrimp and came with spinach and mashed potatoes. Absolutely out of this world. The salmon was cooked perfectly. There's was enough stuffing but not so much it took away from the dish. The sauce was tasty and added depth to the dish. The spinach was also cooked perfectly with some fresh garlic. We really enjoyed our meal. We finished with a piece of cheesecake and a tiramisu and some coffee.Absolutely fantastic meal.The staff works so well together. Everyone is always smiling. They make you feel welcome. You feel like family!Great experience as always.Can't wait for our next date!

The food here was absolutely wonderful. The atmosphere was very high class but the vibe was very relaxed. I ordered stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer. It seemed the mushrooms were fresh and not frozen by how fibrous they were. I ordered the Veal Masala as my entree and it came with spinach and potatoes. The steamed spinach also seemed very fresh. My wife had gotten pizza as an appetizer and I had a slice. The taste of the cheese was extraordinary and I hadn't even had that fresh of a cheese taste from a homemade pizza. Our waiter was very present without being pushy and very friendly towards our one-year-old.

Food was very good,very ample portions. The drinks also good. My complaint is with the server. Felt very rushed with ordering and never saw her again until dessert time. Had to ask three different people for a refill on 2 drinks before the manager got them. The manager was the best server there. Been 3 times over the past year or so. Always good food but poor to average service

Service was excellent, the calamari (like other people said above) rubbery and chewy, I told the manager and he said serves alot no one complains. The meatballs tasted like they been in water for days, tiramiso was very good, Stuffed mushrooms horrible, chicken marsala the sauce was not marsala thick, dark and salty, my lasagna was terrible, last time we went there it was very good , I had the chicken and shrimp w brocolli over rigatoni. For a supposedly upscale Italian restaurant very disappointed. Make a homemade meatball and lasagna! The scallop mushroom risotto, too much sauce and salty also , scallops were cooked perfect and delish ! Get an Italian cook in the kitchen !

We were concerned about the noise level when we arrived....but upon sitting down, we discovered it was easy to manage! We had a very good waitress and our food was very good! You must expect noise on a Saturday night! Also.....several people were celebrating birthdays in a fun way!
