Dining at Ristaurante di Sofia was nothing short of exceptional. I called a week in advance to place a reservation, upon calling the day of to notify I was running a few minutes behind, I was immediately welcomed and sat down when arriving. From the service, to the amazing food it was a great experience! Defiantly will be putting them on my list for business meeting dinners.

if this were just about food, 5 stars--best veal in the state; but atmosphere cannot be ignored; i told them when they first opened that the walls made it really noisy, and to drape all the huge windows that look out at cars on barnum ave or sitting in the parking lot--patrons come in to get away from that!; lighting creates atmosphere, but not bright daylight; they can remedy this in a couple of days and at minimal cost; making this place warm and cozy will elevate this place to where great food is served in an atmosphere it cries out to be in...

I took my friend there yesterday because I told her it was one of my favorite restaurants, from prior experiences there I remembered food being great as well as the service. Yesterday we had a horrible service. The bartender was looking at our IDs like it was fake, wouldn't even looking at us when talking to us. I asked him where the bathrooms are and he barely pointed at them. Apart from that he was rude to a customer that wanted to sit at the bar in front of us. At least before we left a guy said sorry that he needed to look at your ID but those are the rules that we need to follow, which I get. It did not bother me that he looked at our Id´s at all. It was just the way he gave us the service. We ended up only ordering one drink and dessert and my drink was so strong that it felt like I was drinking straight liquor. Sadly I would not be back, after this being one of my favorite restaurants.
From the service to the food and even the atmosphere, this place was just amazing! Never had calamari or mussels so good! Everything was absolutely delicious! It was my mom's birthday and the owner was just the kindest and warmest person when he greeted her. He was the icing in the cake. I would highly recommend this place to Everyone. Worth every penny!
