We went to celebrate my sister's birthday last Sunday. I really dont do Italian, but this restaurant was ok. The service was phenomenal. The owner and the staff were very attentive and friendly. The appetizers were okay. The disappointment started with the calamari they just served rings, no tentacles, and they were overcooked and chewy. The crab cake was decent, but they should use a lump crab for the price. The linguine and clams were awesome. I enjoyed the fresh pasta. Everyone else enjoyed their meal as well. The cheesecake cake and the limoncello cake were great. I would definitely go back again. To try other pasta dishes that are on the menu. Go check it out. I think you would enjoy it

Not many restaurants serve veal anymore. I don’t eat it, but I hear it’s great. Attentive waiters and bar staff.

Overall EXTREMELY pricey for the area. Like Fairfield prices on Barnum Avenue. Come on. The salad that comes with the entree is basically 2 bites (seriously not kidding that's how tiny it is) and not fresh looking. The veal and chicken entrees did not come with potatoes or veggies. For the price, location, portion and ambience, not worth it at all. Sorry.

Came for dinner for the first time on Christmas Eve and it was excellent!! The food was outstanding - loved the broccoli rabe and sausage app, calamari, and the shrimp scampi was one of the best I have ever had. Our server was awesome, and I can't wait to go back.

Two of us ventured out midweek on a chilly night to give this place a try out before deciding where to reserve for an extended family dinner. We were intrigued by all the positive reviews. On arriving we were greeted by the proprietor & were offered our choice of tables. The dining room fronts the bar area. It has well spaced seating arrangements with Linens on the tables & comfortable chairs. Our server, an experienced, energetic & pleasant individual, helped us navigate the menu & we found our selections: clams casino to start & our entrees, GAMERONI ALLA SCAMPI & grilled swordfish tasty. The on the small side but very fresh swordfish steak, in a wisp of delicious piccata sauce was just slightly over cooked but that aside, 3 very lonesome looking slender stalks of grilled asparagus mated with a crispy potato cake & the swordfish left a lot of open real estate on the plate. The fresh Pasta with the shrimp dish was very good & perfectly cooked. Very oddly though, our salads that came with/before our meals were minuscule & one dimensional. This & overall value caused us to drop RISTORANTE DI SOFIA from 4 starts to 3.5 but as Yelp doesn't fractionalize we selected 4. Oh & We loved the homemade, on the house LEMONCELLO at the end of our meal.
