I've lived in Stratford over 20 years and NEVER ate here. I would go back and try a different sandwich. I didn't care for the steak one my sandwich but would diffently try something else.

This is my favorite lunch spot for deli sandwiches and grinders. I highly recommend the chicken cutlets and meatballs. Pasta salad was great too! I came here a few days in a row while in town on a work assignment. I will definitely come back when I’m in the area!

The sandwiches here are delicious! I got the busy bee when visiting CT back and February and was excited months later to realize that we’d be driving right by this place on i95. I ordered The Busy Bee again and was not disappointed!! It was just as delicious as the first time. Even better they made my lunch sandwich for me at 7am! I highly recommend the Pickle Barrel! The breakfast burrito was delicious too.

I don't know what happened to this place. They used to be really good. My wife and I got a tuna melt and a deli sandwich. The oil and vinegar soaked the hell out of the deli sandwich. Literally so wet, I had to throw out the roll. The tuna melt, same. You could wring it out. Very disappointed, because it used to be a normal place that made really good food. Either they are hiring people who don't know how to make a sandwich, or they just don't care anymore. Either way, we are not going back. We'll go to the Tasty Yolk instead. What an easily avoidable shame. They should be embarrassed, but my guess is they won't be.

Had a carry out bacon egg and cheese from Pickle Barrel, overall good, would buy again. I did think the sandwich was slightly undersized and I would probably try something else next time.

My husband and I were visiting the area for a weekend getaway. We drove by and realized they made sandwiches so we stopped. My husband got a honey maple turkey & Swiss sub, and I got a baked ham & provolone. By far the best sandwiches we have had! The sub rolls are absolutely amazing, they use boars head meat and they fill the sandwich with a ton of meat. I wish I would have taken a picture. They were so good we went back the next day for lunch as well. Now we need them to open a shop in upstate NY, so we can get them more often.
EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED with the attitude from the caisher...The food is good buy expensive...When the workers are rude, rolling eyes bc I ask why she charged 1.25 for cheese on wrap...The girl who took my order came & explained nicely....Thankful Chefs Table offer the same so I dont have to return here again!!!

I was disappointed when I came in to pick up my online order and they had not even started it. I waited patiently at first and then it took them 30+ minutes after I showed them the order. I also wrote that I wanted a hard roll NOT a Portuguese roll and they gave me the Portuguese.
