Well staffed, good food. You really can't complain on this one. Just communicate what it is you want, they seem eager to be helpful, in general, the steak and cheese and fresh hot lunch they put out is all good ?
Great deli. The sandwiches are nice and thick like old school deli’s used to make. I’ve been a customer since they opened about 21 years ago and will continue to patronize now that I live in Stratford. They are always busy but the service is efficient and counter help are friendly. Highly recommend.
Pickle Barrel Deli is a fun, unique deli in Stratford, CT conveniently located on Main Street.
They offer a daily selection of hot food including some sort of pasta, grilled chicken, rice or potatoes and a delicious, fresh made Turkey breast. Of all those options the Turkey is the best. However their signature sandwiches are where this place shines.
Sure, you can get your usual deli favorites; rueben, roast beef, BLT, Italian Combo etc, but...
