Great meals for a great price! The classic hot dog and hamburger prices are unbelievable. The portions are large and the apps are definitely shareable.
The staff was friendly and nice. He had some nice suggestions and gave the kids some crayons and coloring sheets. The food came out quickly but it took a bit of time for us to get our bill since the bar had gotten busy.
The restaurant has an interesting set up. There is the kitchen but there is also a grill in the bar area where the hot dogs and hamburgers are made. Our waiter was responsible for making the hot dogs and hamburgers on the grill while also waiting on the tables and working the bar.
We went on a warm humid day and the restaurant was a bit warm. They had small AC units and fans to move the air. So it was a bit noisy from everything they were doing to keep the restaurant cool.
I liked a lot of the décor and the older signs.
Parking: The parking lot is small and across the street from the restaurant. There also was some on street parking.

Walking into the windmill is like taking a step back into an old neighborhood bar. The atmosphere is great. The food is very good and is reasonably priced. There are many drinks and beers available. They specialize in bar type food with a nostalgic appeal. Definitely a great neighborhood bar to check out and eat. Make sure to try their hot dogs, that is what they are famous for.

This bar/restaurant is a real throwback. A very nice bar scene with great bar food as well. This is well know for their hotdogs. I had both, the Kuhn’s chili and the Conte’s chili dogs. Both of them were good, I preferred the Kuhn’s because it was actually spicier. I ordered a side of sweet potato fries, they were good. We also ordered some fried mozzarella and chicken parmigiana.
This is my NEW to go place for band watching and dancing! A friend called it "a kind of dive-bar!" But-- i happen to like that concept! However its more of a Tavern than just a bar. This is a totally happy, surprise, and best kept secret of a local tavern thats been around for like 90 yrs w a wkly BAND roster the likes of which ive never seen before. Theres a diff band every Fri &Sat nite! If youre a hotdog buff, you'll especially love it! And--There are themes every Tues, Wed & Thurs. I cant wait to go back there again!!!

Saturday 3:10pm I sat down to eat and drink at the Bar. No one even noticed me until I got up and walked away at 3:18pm without even being asked for a drink. Not Crazy Busy either. And I believe the lady behind the bar is a part owner too (round black glasses) who was way too busy talking to a guy regarding her Watch and Cell Phone settings (?) Been going there for 55 years. I'll be back. But if shes working, I'll walk right out as I did today, piss Poor Service from a Mgr .

We love this place! My husband has been coming here since he was a kid - him and his friends riding their bikes to the Windmill for hotdogs. We come here now for the more extensive menu and of course the hotdogs too! The buffalo chicken strips were perfection! Great food and always good service.
