Damn, what a delight this place is. Stumbled in while out of town, and the Conty’s Chili hot dogs were soooo on point! Spicy chili on a hummel hot dog was perfection.
And the vibes on a monday night were great. Super nice staff and patrons in a really cozy bar.

Great food for the price ya can’t beat it! No where you can get a $4 burger with the works and have it be a good piece of meat! It’s almost like traveling back in time! Good variety of food as well, plenty of options

Visiting on biz. Wanted pub steak and this one was a bit strange. A good 30% was pure fat and what meat had a pale gray tint to it like it was somewhat boiled first…. Not what I’m used to. It tasted ok. Mashed potatoes and veggies were decent. Beer was cold. Waitress was great! Would return to try their other offerings…

The Windmill is a Stratford legend. My wife used to go there as a kid...some 52 years ago. The hot dogs are awesome-the Chicago, the Classic!! Hummel hotdogs of course! They also have an incredible sampler...pierogi, kielbasa, bratwurst, and potato pancake. It also has an old school Tavern feel...right in the middle of a residential neighborhood. Great service too!!

Awful experience at Windmill Tavern. The bartenders were rude—snapped at me for no reason—and grimy, with one wiping hands on a dirty rag before serving. Food was decent, but the hostile, unclean vibe killed it. Skip this place

Awful, menu expensive food cold, served on cold plates, cold pub, very badly lit, so bad couldn't read the menu had to use torch on my phone. Food on the menu not available. Waitress asked us if everything was ok we all said no and she walked away. States it is wheechair friendly but no disabled toilets.

Great meals for a great price! The classic hot dog and hamburger prices are unbelievable. The portions are large and the apps are definitely shareable.
The staff was friendly and nice. He had some nice suggestions and gave the kids some crayons and coloring sheets. The food came out quickly but it took a bit of time for us to get our bill since the bar had gotten busy.
The restaurant has an interesting set up. There is the kitchen but there is also a grill in the bar area where the hot dogs and hamburgers are made. Our waiter was responsible for making the hot dogs and hamburgers on the grill while also waiting on the tables and working the bar.
We went on a warm humid day and the restaurant was a bit warm. They had small AC units and fans to move the air. So it was a bit noisy from everything they were doing to keep the restaurant cool.
I liked a lot of the décor and the older signs.
Parking: The parking lot is small and across the street from the restaurant. There also was some on street parking.
