Update. The family and I just visited the Anchor Bar in Buffalo. I must say that the Tavern wings are spot on. When you visit Tolland be sure to get a taste as close to the original Buffalo wing. Mark is getting his wings done right.

Went to watch a Bills game, had a great time. Good wings, plenty of TVs and plenty of Bills fans (refreshing) and good beer on tap. Also had a handful of games (basketball, golden tee, boxing, pool tables) and pretty typical bar menu. Will be back soon!

What a horrible experience. The service was extremely slow. The food took over 1 hour to get to the table. The appitizers made it after the entrees were served. The food was not that good. It was a Tuesday night and it was not that busy. All the while the owner was playing video golf and not paying attention to the customers. Luckily I live out of town and will not be returning.

Okay Tavern Find. Very good lunch selections. The grilled chicken avocado melt with bacon and cheddar cheese served on sourdough toast is very good. The french fries are too die for and way too many. The beer selection is pretty good and they had one my favorites, the Naughty Nurse. Just sounds nice saying it. The place has a nice sports bar ambiance. The barkeep was friendly and attentive at first. The kitchen is fast. The con is the barkeep didn't do the quick follow-up on the meal and my beer went dry in the middle of the meal and the place was empty, major faux pas for basic bar service. I always fault management for lack of training on the "follow-up". The other con is the Mens restroom is disgusting and needs a major overhaul.
