“Love Love Love Monet’s table Food is always great Staff always helpful and professional Great menu Not the same old menus you see in most restaurants Atmosphere always beautiful Sometimes they have beautiful paintings hanging on the walls you can purchase My only regret is their hours Wish they were open all year six days and served lunch and dinner I know that’s selfish on my part Everyone has to have time off and vacations Saturday brunch is also very very good and reasonable See you soon at Monet’s”

“My husband George and I frequently go to our "neighborhood" SPOT in Tolland since it opened. It really feels like a home away from home where you can watch a game, collaborate with colleagues over dinner, have a birthday party or little league celebration. It is a place to go for all members of the family for any occasion. The main menu is thoughtful, and we look forward to the weekly specials which are delicious. Prime rib Thursdays is a favorite as well. They have specials on cocktails and mocktails with special touches like cranberries in the ice, or the chocolate drizzle in the Andes martini with whipped creme and Andes mint crumbles. We have not found anything that was not delicious and in appetizing and filling portions. They have adult homemade ice cream to crave! It has a slightly different ambiance in each corner, the sofa lounge area, the seated family dining area, the sports zone covered in big screen tv's and the bar area where you are treated like family and they remember what you like as soon as you sit down. I love their themed special events that pair delicious and unique appetizers, with bourbon, wine, whiskey while sommeliers and chefs discuss the flavor combinations introducing us to tastes that tantalize your whole palate while sharing the history or culture of what you are enjoying. In addition, they have trivia nights, karaoke, an annual car show in the fall, and other seasonal events. In moderate to mild weather, the outdoor covered area is great for listening to local bands and bringing people together. in a comfortable setting. The costs are comparable to other good restaurants, and well worth the experience. If there is any problem with your order (which can happen everywhere), they quickly remedy it. We appreciate the warm welcome every time we come in from the owner and his staff.”
“Staff was warm and welcoming. Offered suggestions to a first timer. Made good substitutions. Food was hot. Home fries were delicious. Coffee is decent and I’m picky. Banana pancakes were really good. Can’t wait to go back, highly recommend. My only suggestion: consider having flavored coffee?”

“Coffee’s hot. Tables’ clean. Service professional and quick. Can’t ask for more. If you’re expecting Starbucks it ain’t - not a millennial to be found - that means no obnoxious and entitled coffee drinkers, no demands for bizarre coffee orders - that means no “tall, non-fat lattes with caramel drizzle” or “triple venti, soy, no foam lattes”. No clueless lemmings, who when asked their order, reply “I Donno” and then turn to their friend and ask “Whatta you havin?””

“I had ordered Veggie Patty, but it wasn’t available in the store. So they called and politely asked me if I am open for other options. As I decided to go with Veggie Delight, they offered me a complimentary drink to compensate the amount.
Nice Experience and Very clean store.”

“Was Working in town and decided to stop by as I’ve heard great things about UConn Diary Bar. There were commencements going on so lines were a little long but worth the wait. I got a medium 3 scoop black raspberry which was fresh and delicious. Definitely would go back again.”

“Update: I have been notified that they are bringing the rice and grain bowls back! 👏. I changed it back to ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐.
Previous message:
D’Angelo’s in Vernon, CT. just made one of the worst menu decisions I’ve ever seen. The Rice & Grain Bowls — the items that actually made you different from every other sandwich shop — are gone. The Southwest and Korean BBQ bowls were incredible, and the matching sandwiches were just as good. Now all of them have been removed. We already have plenty of sub shops. What made D’Angelo’s special was the bowls. Without them, you’re just another sandwich place in a sea of sandwich places.
I used to give you five stars. Now it’s one.
Bring back the Rice & Grain Bowls — this “menu experiment” is a huge mistake.”

“We visited Mario’s for the first time on Friday Feb 27th after seeing a Facebook ad for their fish and chips dinner. We were beyond surprised and very pleased with the entire experience. The fish and chips was the best we have had, the waitress was very attentive and friendly. Although the place is small it was super busy with lots of take out orders but that didn’t affect the dining room orders coming out in a timely fashion. We most definitely will be visiting again real soon to see what other delicious choices they have on their menu. Great job Mario see you again soon.”
“I’ve been here countless times and the food is consistently very good. The servers are always friendly too. Tonight I sat at the bar after a class and ordered grinders for takeout. Absolutely THE best grinders we’ve had in forever. My veggie and cheese grinder was LOADED with veggies! My husband’s grinder had so much nest he could have created 2 more grinders. Thank you Soula and staff. You are all top notch!”
“Food was sooo good, got the burger it was perfectly cooked the bun was fresh and delicious. Also had pretzels which were warm and crunchy on the outside with and soft center.”

“I had lunch at Vernon Friendly’s The food was good and the waitress was friendly. She did a great job. I did notice that it took some time to get the food. But the service was great and I will definitely be going there to have lunch there again.”

“I'm visiting from out of state, and I like to find places to eat that I don't have back home. I love loaded fries, so this was a no-brainer for me. I ordered the taco fries without jalapeños. The service was great, the presentation was gorgeous, and the taste was excellent. The fries themselves, aside from any toppings, are thick-cut, earthy-tasting, legitimate freshly-made from handcut potatoes. The toppings were generous and flavorful, and didn't taste generic or store-bought. 10/10 would recommend, and I hope to eat here again on future visits to the area!”

“We stopped into Cooley’s Kitchen while visiting family in Connecticut, and somehow it already feels like part of “home” for us. 🧡🐾 Jen helped us find a table near the back during dinner rush, which ended up being perfect. Low traffic, quieter, and right by a beautiful sunset. As disabled guests with a power chair, sensory overload can happen fast for us, especially in busy restaurants. Whether intentional or not, both Jen and Aaron seemed incredibly aware of the environment around us. Several times when the sun started shining directly into our eyes, one of them would naturally step into the light while checking on us so we could keep enjoying our cheeseburger grinder without getting overwhelmed. Small thing maybe, but it mattered a lot to us. What stood out most was how human everything felt. Not forced “customer service.” Real care. Jen sat and talked with patrons and you could immediately tell this is a place locals genuinely love. Friends, families, regulars. Everyone seemed comfortable there. They checked in with us based on timing and body language, not because some policy told them to stop by every few minutes. Even the thumbs up from across the room felt personal and warm. We had a chance to talk a little about the restaurant too. Hearing that this was Aaron’s dream and that they’ve been building it together for the last two years honestly made the experience even better. You can feel the passion behind the place. Aaron being a chef and Jen helping build the community side of it makes the whole restaurant feel alive in a way chain restaurants never do. Every time we come to Connecticut, we stop here…usually more than once. Truthfully, places like this are part of why we’ve started looking at Ellington as somewhere we could someday call home, even all the way from Iowa. Good food matters. But being seen as human matters more. Cooley’s Kitchen gave us both. 🧡🐾”
