Decent selection of drinks. The staff is very friendly and willing to work with groups. There is an event space upstairs and plenty of space in the main area. There is old fire equipment in the main area which is fun for youngsters. Dogs are allowed here and it's byof. There's a back patio area. It's an excellent little brewery.

The location is beautiful. Nice historic building with a fire engine inside and old bikes. The staff was super friendly and helpful. There was a bunch of “good dogs” hanging out who were well behaved and relaxing with their families. The beer was just awful. Me and my girlfriend tried 6 beers, a flight and 2 full pours because we had the passport. None of them were drinkable we paid our tab and didn’t say anything to the staff but returned the beers with a few sips missing. Both our stomachs hurt after leaving. The gingerbread stout that is completely out of season might have been the worst, neither of us could stomach more than a sip. It also tasted and smelled nothing like gingerbread something I love. If you going stick to the guest options.

Awesome place! The owner is super friendly. The beer is great. They don’t serve food but they allow bring your own so we had a great little picnic at a table next to the super cool antique fire truck. Would totally go back.

Bad Dog Brewery opened in 2017 in Torrington, CT. It's located in a historic 1901 firehouse. Everything was restored and reclaimed. There are two floors, each has a bar and there is an event space. The place is beautiful and super spacious; it's also dog and kid friendly. There were plenty of tables and seating throughout. The parking lot is small but there are also on-street metered parking.

My family and I enjoyed hanging out there. There was a old retro Pac-Man game console; a vintage firetruck on display on the first floor; and various of other vintage decor, some paying homage to the firefighters.

I had one of their seasonal stout beers and it was great, sorry forgot the name. They also serve hard seltzers, ciders, and wine. There is no food onsite but food trucks do stop there. There was a birthday party in one of the rooms when we went; it appears that it's a great spot for that and they were pretty accommodating. Overall, it's definitely up there with one of my favorite breweries and I really love the historic architecture too.

Great building and very good beer. I had Boats and Oats. A tasty oatmeal stout. I'll go back!

This review is a part of my quest of visiting all CT breweries. This was my first visit to the brewery, although I tried several of their beers before.

The brewery is located in a historic firehouse and the setting they have looks awesome. You can see multiple pieces of equipment on display as well as an old firetruck. The brewery has 2 floors and a big amount of indoor space to host events. No food is served onsite, but I spotted a food truck outside.

While I loved the environment, I could not say the same about beers. You can order a beer flight of 4, so for this review I tried all the beers they had on tap. While the beers themselves were perfectly fine, they were not memorable at all. This review is written in a couple of days after my visit, and I already do not remember any specific beers from my sets. That doesn't mean that they are bad, just that all of them are very safe choices without anything outstanding.

This place would be a perfect spot for an event, a hangout or if you're local. If you like to try new craft beers, then it might not be worth it to drive here.

Located in the repurposed fire station: there's a historical fire truck in the main hall.
In addition to the great selection of beers there's live music.
Enjoyed the beer and the atmosphere.

We're currently training our dog, she's a good dog, but she hasn't been many places in public yet. Staff at Bad Dog was very understanding and kind when we explained. The crowd there was really sweet with her, and I can't say enough good things about the people who run Freedom Food Truck. We had a great time, and will be back often. All that on top of delicious food and beer, this will be a regular hang out for us. I'm so happy we finally stopped in! Thank you for being amazing, Bad Dog!
