I blame myself for your closure ? kidding… but of course the day I go for the first time in months, it’s announced later that day operations are ceasing. You guys do it right; with the shaved meats and all… truly sad to see such a gem decide to close down. Where else do I go for a quality sandwich?

I would rate the food but I called at 5:40 to order a grinder and got told very rudly that they stop making grinders at 5:45 and it was 5:45 by there watch. Can't beleave a restaurant won't not take care of there community like they say they would.

I’ve heard about this place from several of the locals but every time I come by it’s after hours. Today I had the opportunity to order a 8” grinder there and it was much bigger than I thought it would be. Initially, I thought the price was a bit high when I looked at the board but now I understand as it is totally loaded like no other sandwich you will get any place else. I was only able to eat half of it and I wish I had brought a lunch bag with me to bring it home. I will plan better on the next trip.

The way a grinder should be made! My partner and I treat ourselves to a Carbones grinders once a month. We will never spend our money at a chain grinder shop again! The owners are also freindly and welcoming.

I don't care what anyone may say about Carbones" Market but they are the most fabulous place in town for grinders. lunch meat, and they are the only ones in town that carry my weaver chicken breast. We absolutely love them, the people are very friendly and so are the owners. We miss Tony & Carol but they kept the Carbone tradition.

The ABSOLUTE BEST Italian sausage, peppers and cheese hot grinder ever. The homemade sausage and marinara sauce was outstanding. When I return back from Georgia in the Fall I will be eating several times at this establishment. Kudos!

100/5 stars. The only place to get an amazing sandwich in Torrington and surrounding towns. They also carry some groceries you wouldn't normally find at the other grocerie stores like himpty dumpty chips, and all kinds of Martins breads. I highly recomend!!

WOW....Amazing sandwich!I ordered 8" italian combo grinder w/lettuce only & a soda. First it can feed two people, the roll was so soft & fresh & I thought the price you pay was a bit high but it's definitely worth it. There's so much meat on this sandwich it seems like it's over a pound.Definitely worth the price!

At 12 I used to fly down Highland Ave on my bike in the summer to grab an Italian combo grinder and a soda, and then pick up a pack of smokes for my old man at Value Mart on the way back up the hill. That was over 30 years ago, but they are still there pumping out some of the best grinders around. This place is legendary.

Stellar italian combo grinder. My italian Poppy took me here, citing the legendary grinders! Well, it did not disappoint. You're going loads of meat, fresh bread, delicious and fresh toppings - these sangwhiches are so packed you might just crack your jaw trying to get your mouth around it. However, so long as you're not in too much pain to close your mouth and commence chewing, you will relish the pain of gaping your mouth wide enough for each tantalizing bite.
