To be honest, the first judgment of the cafe seems very welcoming and open. Once inside the atmosphere it is completely different. My fiancé, son and I decided to go and there were no high chairs at which I can’t really complain due to the size of the store. The employees do tend to bring the food but gossip very loudly about how we are “Taking too long” and that “They will fix it” towards a tshirt to just spy on us. Don’t get me started on the owner. She seems nice at first but once she came into the store it was straight mean mugging and just not even a hi or welcome and thank you. My son I will say did tend to be loud but he was under control once our muffin came. The saddest part was that I could tell the owner was watching us through the cameras. I’ve been a general manager for two multi million dollar companies and after doing so you know when a camera is in use by personnel or just sensor based. I have seen many reviews supporting claims as such but I never really thought it would still happen to me. It’s not that it’s a bad idea or store just needs to ensure the employees have fake smiles if need be and that you make the store feel more welcoming. Now that’s just my personal opinion through my experience while being at crumbs.

horrible treatment, the workers treated us like we didn’t belong! even the owner came and gave nasty horrible looks smh😒 oh and don’t get me started on the over priced food might as well take my arm and leg. as someone who’s worked customer service and serving i’ll gladly give a course on hospitality!

Everything is fresh tasting, the flavor combos are amazing and the seasonal menus are delicious and fun!

I wasn't impressed by Crumbs. I'm new in town and checked this place out with my husband. $67 for a small breakfast for two is crazy. Not to mention that it's served with cheap plastic utensils that broke almost immediately.

If you think that waiting a half hour for a smoothie is too long, then do not come here!!! Unorganized, they do not know their menu and flat out rude. I asked for a refund after the waitress was so rude but she was not even capable of that. I tried to give business to a small local cafe, I’ll go back to The Donut Shop!!!

Here now, awesome prompt service. Good coffee. Avocado bacon and egg sandwich is awesome.
Perfect little breakfast spot continently out of sight and nuzzled in a beautiful corner near a stream/lake. Foods amazing, staff is incredible, and pricing is reasonable in comparison to what you would spend at Dunkin or Starbucks. Fantastic selection of coffee and bakery items and online ordering saves a wait. A must if you live in the area!

Coffee and food is very good!! Would be nice if the boss treated her employees well, shame there are so many horror stories hopefully she can get it together!! Friendly reminder a minimum wage increase isn’t a “raise” and shouldn’t be treated as such

As the review indicates, Not good. They are super unorganized. The food/drink is not nearly as good as the coffeehouse before it that unfortunately went out of business during covid. Also those people were genuinely nice. The people aren't nice at Crumbs and Toast Co. There is an arrogance within this environment and the food isn't good. Not impressed at all. There are better places to eat or have a coffee in Torrington. Go there instead.
