Way out in the middle of nowhere, right off exit 46 on Route 8 on the side of the road by the tech institute.

Mucke Dogs are top notch. Love the snap of the casing. Kurt makes an onion and a chili sauce that are both great. Dog, Red Hot or Kielbasa. T-Shirts for sale too

If you're driving by stop, I'd rather give this gentleman my money before any chain. Nice guy, hard worker and local semi-celebrity.

Good hotdog stand with all the normal fixings. Chilli and kraut were good, nicely built dog. Soda selection is a little light.

I love how unique this little hot dog stand is. Located just off the northbound exit ramp, this place is less about atmosphere and all about the perfect hot dog. ? I’m going to have to try all of these styles at some point, but I started with the Fire Dog and the Spicy Sautéed BBQ Onions and Cheese. So freakin’ delicious! ? I could have easily eaten a few more and definitely will very soon.

We were the only people there at first and 6 more people pulled up almost immediately. It’s a popular spot with locals and apparently everyone knows Kurt. Even outside of Litchfield these dogs have a following.

I highly recommend this amazing little stand if you’re in the vicinity. ⭐️5️⃣

Parking: Literally in an abandoned area just off the freeway exit ramp. There are plenty of areas to park.

I love the chili cheese dog with raw onion and the spicy sausage is great! Everything is great but those are my favorites!

I first went here about 5 years ago and loved the delicious chili meat sauce. The mucke dogs are awesome and go down fast. There's something different about these dogs and I always think of this stand when I think of the best I've been to, if you're ever in south west Torrington (or feel like making a special trip) I'd recommend Kurt's, it's a good call. Dogalicious.

Very good hotdogs, like the best hotdogs. The scenery is amazing, and he's very nice. He has cheap prices compared to the taste. I wish I could give a higher rating, but I can't.

Kurt’s is the best me and my fiancé love his dogs. The kids love them also.

Noticedd that this stand just off of Rt. 8 got good reviews. Stopped in after an afternoon hike. Ordered a Chili dog with onions and mustard. Pure perfection! Had to order a 2nd one before leaving. If your passing by, you should stop. Easy on, easy off the highway.
