I first went here about 5 years ago and loved the delicious chili meat sauce. The mucke dogs are awesome and go down fast. There's something different about these dogs and I always think of this stand when I think of the best I've been to, if you're ever in south west Torrington (or feel like making a special trip) I'd recommend Kurt's, it's a good call. Dogalicious.

Very good hotdogs, like the best hotdogs. The scenery is amazing, and he's very nice. He has cheap prices compared to the taste. I wish I could give a higher rating, but I can't.Parking: Kinda hectic since the whole place is a parking lot but still easy to maneuver

Noticedd that this stand just off of Rt. 8 got good reviews. Stopped in after an afternoon hike. Ordered a Chili dog with onions and mustard. Pure perfection! Had to order a 2nd one before leaving. If your passing by, you should stop. Easy on, easy off the highway.
Me and my roommate were so excited to see a hot dog stand (with chili dogs!!) only right around the corner from us. We ordered Chili & Cheddar Cheese Dogs, Fire Dogs, and the Kielbasa Dog. I had only tried the Chili Cheese Dog and it was honestly the worst chili dog I've ever had. The chili tastes like an unseasoned meatball. And for the price ($4.25 a dog) a small boiled hot dog, spoonful of chili, SPRINKLE of cheese and a not-so-special bun, I was extremely disappointed. My roommate said his Kielbasa dog was horrible, and the Fire Dog was not one bit spicy. We did not finish our food. I would guess these dogs were from Chuck-E-Cheese or McDonalds. I would rather drive 40 minutes to the closest Sonic to get a chili dog. Disappointed with the taste, quality, and price of these hot dogs. Not giving a one-star because at least they were cooked..

Got dogs? Kurt's does! I like to consider myself an "unofficial sponsor". Whether it's dogs or sausage, regular or spicy, Kurt's is the place to go. All of his toppings, salsa, chili etc is homemade and delicious. Any time I go by his stand during work, I gotta stop. Personally I'd recommend the Fire Dog, but regardless of what you order, you're taste buds will thank you.

Nice place to stop for a quick bite at a reasonable price. Stopped by on a beautiful July afternoon and ordered a kielbasa with kraft and mustard for $4.75. Very good although I prefer a cold and slightly crunchy kraft. Will stop by again and try other options.Shared a piece of my roll with a friendly Raven hanging nearby.
