We are from Alabama, passing through the city, and stopped for lunch. This had to be one of the best pizzas I’ve had. We ordered the margherita pizza and an add your own topping” calzone. They were both incredibly fresh and delicious including the sauce. Also the small size is quite large!
The service was wonderful as well.
Excellent place to eat!

It was our first time here, the waitress was very friendly and attentive, the food was amazing , with large portions.we had the Mediterranean Seafood over Linguine, then Tiramisu for dessert. Next time I’m in Torrington ,we will be back!!
Great food but the atmosphere is still a little diner like.

La Cucina is a neighborhood Italian restaurant that's a staple of the community. With its welcoming atmosphere and classic Italian dishes, it feels like home every time you visit. The pasta is always fresh and the sauces rich.

First & last time here. Everyone raves, I wanted good chicken Alfredo-food was mediocre at best for the price. For the price I really should have just gone to DeCapo in Litchfield ??♀️ overall experience with workers was HORRID. I have never in my whole entire life witnessed such poor customer service in the hospitality service. Order for pick up, went to window and was told that it was $66.56 for 2 chicken Alfredo’s I specified for just the two Alfredo’s? (Because sticker shock), She proceeded to say yes and I was like wow for that price I could make it for my whole family, she apologized and I was like it’s not ur fault I’m just shocked and proceeded to give her payment. While she went to charge my card a guy (kitchen staff? Owner? Idk? But if this was the owner I’m absolutely disgusted and shocked) proceeded to come up to the window after over hearing the conversation stare at me as in means to intimidate me and didn’t say anything. When I wouldn’t break eye contact because why are you so close to me staring right now? Proceeded to ask the women I spoke to “what the issue was” to which she said something (politely) along the lines of the price. He then came back around the corner to the window I was waiting at so close I could smell his breath and the alcohol on it and ask me what the issue was. To which he got the same response, I was just shocked with the priced to which he slurred his words and went on a rant about how it’s not about the money but then proceeded to tell me there’s an up charge for the chicken. Okay, that’s fine. I was caught off guard to which we went back and fourth a million times jsut saying the same things with his voice getting louder with me. In what felt like a million years but was probably only 2 minutes I was handed my food by the waitress who honestly looked at me with like I’m sorry eyes and facial expressions. Once handed my food I just flat out said I honestly don’t care, I have my food, I tipped the lady, I just don’t care I want to go home, it’s late. To which he continue to lean out the window and try to continue to tell me no. What on gods green earth do you mean no babe? Continued to try and go back and fourth with me to the point where I just walked away with my food and card in hand. Everyone has bad days. I understand, I have them as well. But to be in the hospitality service and be this stand offish, disrespect, and just belligerent is unacceptable and saddening.

My first time here and the food was amazing! Soft and Rich in flavor- a very rare balance to find. I had an appetizer sampler and chicken marsala - absolutely divine. Their stuffed mushrooms are blazing the seasoning mix in the marsala was Lovely! Im excited to come back and try their stuffed sole, and chicken alfredo. There is passion and love behind chef's recipes you can taste. Fine dining flavors with hefty portions. An Italian treasure here in Torrington for sure. I will be returning regularly

As someone who loves Italian food, this place was extremely underwhelming. Food was very below average, atmosphere was mediocre, even the drinks were less than great and the price for the quality is outrageous. Our waitress was very nice but seemed a bit inexperienced. Very pleasant though. As far as going back there for Italian cuisine, it probably will never happen. If you have a love for real Italian food, this place is not for you. If you don’t have a sophisticated palette, this is the place for you to try.
