I’ve been there a couple times in the past few weeks. The food is good and the service is good. But, there’s a guy who always wears a hat, has glasses, a beard and I believe curly hair. He works in the kitchen. When I’ve been there, I’ve seen him touch his phone, his clothes, wipe his face and run his fingers through his hair. Then he touches the food, all without washing his hands. It’s a turn off for some people. That’s the only reason I gave this review 4 instead of 5 stars. Once this gets rectified, I will upgrade it to 5.

Lates is amazing. It's a tiny little shop but it packs some big flavor. If it's late and everywhere else is shutting down food service, this is the place to go. Excellent menu for those late night cravings, great price, and the staff is very friendly. The food hits the spot and it's always hopping with people picking up orders or stopping in on their way by. Definitely a place to try when you're in Torrington. Nestled between the River Walk and Sawyer's, just a short walk from downtown.

Every time I come, they never cease to amaze. Everything is on point and delicious. Staff is amazing. They have a sense of humor and an awesome personality. They are clean as well as professional when they need to be. I make sure I come and visit every year when they open and follow throughout the season. I’ve been recommending this place since I started coming here 4 years ago and I won’t stop recommending it.
The hobo burger is the best burger I’ve ever had and my girlfriend is obsessed with the big pickle burger. They also make really good fried Oreos. Definitely a spot to check out!!
