Nardelli’s Grinder Shoppe

Such a clean sandwich shop and the food is great! The new owners just took over the business so please ignore prior reviews. This place is absolutely spotless and has a unique “homey feel” .. I got to meet the owner Silvana, a lovely lady incredibly proud of her shop, and it shows. The sandwiches are tasty and the menu has all the Italian classics and more. This will become our favorite sandwich place when we pass through town.

Under new ownership! A must try. Excellent food. Staff is very friendly and efficient. Nice comfy cozy sitting area. Excellent atmosphere and the owners are very accommodating. Check them out for all your catering needs also.They certainly take pride in their place! It shows! Best of luck on your new adventure!

This place was excellent, and the staff was extremely polite and welcoming. The food was absolutely delicious, and everything was very clean and well maintained. I highly recommend Nardelli’s in Torrington and will definitely be coming back again!

Put order in on the app.. wasn't ready..had to wait an additional 10 minutes..I even gave a nice tip.. sorry I did...not acceptable...

I’ve been a loyal customer of Nardelli’s for a long time, and the two sons have always been incredibly kind and respectful. They ring the bell, say grazie, and genuinely make you feel appreciated. Unfortunately, my experience today with John (the owner) was the exact opposite. When I didn’t understand his question about the amount of mac and cheese, he spoke to me in an extremely rude and unkind way — loud enough for another customer to hear. I felt completely taken aback and honestly, verbally attacked over something so minor. Even after that, I still tipped 20% (hoping the young girl working would benefit). John didn’t say thank you, didn’t acknowledge it — nothing. As someone who has supported this business many times, this was incredibly disappointing. I will NEVER return after this experience. No customer should be treated that way.

Wasn’t satisfied with first sandwich, so the manager told me to replace it with whatever I wanted. He even gave us dessert on the house. Great service with a smile and the next sandwich was fantastic. Service like this is rare these days. Great place.

They were randomly closed at a time they were supposed to be open, it made me very disappointed because I came from out of state on a quick trip and was really looking forward to my yearly Nardellis trip…

The store is nice and clean. But I went in an ordered two large grinders and the girl who took my order, didn't write anything I said down. I actually said to her wow thats impressive that you can remember all that in your head. Well when I got home they were both not made at all like I had requested. They were still good, but not the way we wanted them. So may I suggest to write the orders out and look at the paper.

Getting a bit tired paying $15 for grinder. Tomatoes paper thin. Bacon on a grinder was bacon chips. Jalapeanos on grinder...3 on a large grinder. I did 3 stars on food because its fresh...otherwise quality of grinder is a 2. I can go to Market 32 and get same for less.

My only real complaint is anytime you order through door dash or over the phone my order is never right EVER!! If I wanted my sandwich toasted I’d put that in the notes or say that however when I go out of my way to say not toasted and they still do it’s annoying! If I ask for certain things not to be on my sandwich and you still do it is just them being lazy! Clean you press so the sandwiches don’t have a weird burnt taste that isn’t appetizing! Also if I ask certain things on my sandwiches please just do it!!! Every time me and my coworkers order from here, this is our main issue Our sandwiches are never done right however, if we go in store, they’re fine.

I put an instruction of how to make my sandwich I asked for my meat to be shaved Ollie told me over the phone the manger told her to ignore my request and when I called he had no idea what shaved meat was, which is sad since it’s a deli. He wouldnt give me a refund after I told him it’s not how I wanted my sandwich and I paid $18.00 for it and I ask for his name and he refused to give me his name which is shady. There were no customers in the store now I know why and to pay $18.00 for a sandwich they screwed up and won’t give me a refund tells me why their ratings have gone down

My wife and I have lived in many places and we've never had a sandwich that was so delicious, even on the next day. We've eaten our way from coast to coast and this is my far the greatest hero, grinder, sandwich whatever you want to call it. We will never be getting a grinder anywhere else. The quality, quantity and taste is a 10/10.

I had delivery.. The driver, Melvin was awesome. He brought the order quickly and he even got out in the rain to bring the fantastic award worthy sandwich.
