I put an instruction of how to make my sandwich I asked for my meat to be shaved Ollie told me over the phone the manger told her to ignore my request and when I called he had no idea what shaved meat was, which is sad since it’s a deli. He wouldnt give me a refund after I told him it’s not how I wanted my sandwich and I paid $18.00 for it and I ask for his name and he refused to give me his name which is shady. There were no customers in the store now I know why and to pay $18.00 for a sandwich they screwed up and won’t give me a refund tells me why their ratings have gone down

I had delivery.. The driver, Melvin was awesome. He brought the order quickly and he even got out in the rain to bring the fantastic award worthy sandwich.

I don’t know what their definition of “HOT” is, but every time I get a HOT grinder and even ask for it to be heated more, the middle of the sandwich is still cold. Paying $15 for a couple 1/2 grinders that are obviously pre done and processed meats? I’m all set with that. But if that wasn’t bad enough, the creepy “hurry up and figure your order out” glares you get from the people behind the counter waiting to fix your sandwich are definitely offputting. With so many other REAL delis in the area like Carbones or Salernos, I won’t be patronizing nardelis anymore.

My steak sandwich was horribly chewy! In the past, it was much better. Very disappointing.

Nobody greets you when you walk in or looks enthusiastic about helping you when they do. The gentleman making the sandwiches messed up two out of my three sandwiches and just awkwardly stared at me when I brought them back. Apparently wanting what you pay for is offensive to him. Then there was a random girl just standing behind the corner staring at everyone who walks in, but she never actually helped anyone or even offered service. It was the most awkward and dysfunctional service I have had in years. Sorry guys, never going back and it’s a shame because I live around the corner. Will go to Waterbury where surprisingly the staff are much more personable and don’t look at you like a foreign invader when you walk in.

Restaurantji Recommends
As far as sub franchises go (Subway, Firehouse, Jersey Mike's, Blimpie's, etc), Nardellis is as good as it gets. Their sandwiches can be a bit dry, though, and can feel like there's "too much bread". But their ingredients are top-of-the-line. This particular location is ok.
THE WORST Nardelli’s …. The “sandwiches”that we got from this location was an absolute embarrassment. I do not recommend going here unless your desperate and about to drop dead from starvation and even then I think I would rather find myself across the street at Cumbys.
First time ever at a nardelli’s and this one did not disappoint! Great grinders, and such a clean store! The employees were very friendly and helpful too. I’d return again.
Great food and service
Sloppy. Pepperoni had wrapper still on the ends of the slices. Grinder was inedible.
