Didn't follow mask mandates, and they were very open about their belief in conspiracy theories (including their anti-vax stance and the idea that COVID-19 is a myth). Not to mention the sale and use of shady, dangerous multi-level marketing brand essential oils in their drinks, from an essential oil company that's involved in numerous lawsuits. There's no room for such dangerous ideologies in today's world.

I was genuinely thinking about going there to support small businesses and try their smoothies until I drove by and saw "statistics" denying the severity of COVID and denying the effectiveness of masks and safety measures. Even worse, when I went to check their Instagram one of their posts said something along the lines of "this smoothie will protect you from COVID more than masks will." complete and utter BS. I recommend you take your business elsewhere, such as Cafe 38. Lovely people and the establishment enforces social distancing and mask wearing.

I have been meaning to get to this place, but I'm so far away. I love that they are standing up for their rights! Customers have the right to shop where they like, if you disagree with their policy, shop somewhere else.

I love Nirvana Cafe and Juice Bar! This is the second 3 day detox I've purchased and I absolutely love their juices, smoothies, teas, and hydrating drinks! I've been to other juice and smoothie places, but Nirvana's selection and flavors are the best I've ever had. So delicious, that I drive 35 minutes from Southington just to get them! The staff is very friendly, and knowledgeable with answering any questions you might have and on the offered add-in's. I love it. Highly recommend them!

One star is too much for this establishment. The fake CDC statistics plastered on the window in regards to Covid should have been enough to keep me from going in but I tried anyway. I put on a mask and patiently waited while the lady in front of me ordered. An older white woman, presumably the manager, went out of her way to tell me they would not be wearing a mask while they made the drinks. In fact no gloves, no cashier partition, nothing, which Covid aside gloves are a standard for any food service business ESPECIALLY when food preparation is involved. I also foolishly let that go. I asked a simple question about types of protein and she told me, as if I had just asked her to rotate the earth, "it's on the board". (I double checked and the varieties were not) But that was not enough for her. She had to then go out of her way to say she thought I was going to "rob her" because I was wearing a mask. She continued with "masks dont do anything" and other colorful insults and remarks before I finally decided enough was enough and walked out. As somebody who works in the industry, I know everybody has their bad days. And that customers can sometimes really test your patience which is why I tend to be gracious to places and people knowing these realities. However, this is very clearly the culture. One look at the dangerous propaganda all over the place compounded with this woman's fiery unprovoked desire to be insulting, combative and unsafe are all massive red flags that this is how the place typically runs day to day. If you value any degree of customer service or safety I highly recommend you don't even come near this place.

Have been meaning to drop by since we moved to the area, finally had the chance but as we drove up we were confronted with a bunch of insane COIVID truther propaganda so we of course did not enter. Yikes. I wouldn't trust a place that serves drinks and food and doesn't take basic public health and safety seriously. Hard pass.Edit: I'm a response to another bad review due to their pandemic denial, they claim that their smoothies will actually protect you better from the virus than wearing a mask will.. Really hope the CDC guidelines get updated to include this random crappy smoothie place! Lmao absolutely delusional. Do not give these people your money. Another sign says they are moving soon (thankfully) please get out of my town!!! You are entirely unwanted and a blight endangering the community

I used to love going here until the business model became very public conspiracy theories about mask wearing. Bizarre and unnecessary. I’d rather go to Act Natural on Water Street. Much more chill. Just not comfortable at a business that places so much value on denying science during a pandemic.

Hands down the best smoothies in NWCT. Their fruit smoothies are made with purées, this means you get 100% of the entire fruit along with its nutrients. Such a chill and laid back atmosphere. Coffees and teas are amazing too.

No maskNo handwashingNo glovesPandemic or not, this place does not care about customer's health & safety.Menu looked amazing, found on this site, was excited to try. But, after she made our smoothies taking zero health/safety precautions we walked out. So glad I didn't pay first!

Not impressed, especially since I went in with the thought of supporting small local business during the pandemic, only to find a sign stating that the business doesn't care enough about its customers to ask that they adhere to the mask mandate. A sign going on about how they aren't the mask police, etc. An establishment need not be the "mask police" to provide their customers with some semblance of safety. I actually felt uncomfortable as the only person during my visit wearing a mask. If they want to excuse the customers from wearing masks, they could at least have the decency to make employees follow the rules. I just wish I had seen the sign and noticed the complete disregard for mysmy well-being BEFORE spending $10 on a smoothie that I no longer feltcfelt ingesting.

Stopped by recently for the first time and was incredibly glad I did! I felt welcome and it was a great opportunity to stop and chat a bit. I was glad to just find a moment of normalcy and calm in the midst of the uncertainty recently. Beyond that the service was great, the smoothie I got was healthy and absolutely delicious (and it stayed cold even though I walked about a mile to my car in the summer heat, so I was impressed!). I'm excited to return and to bring my family and friends, so glad I found this treasure of a place.
