Panera Bread in Torrington has become my go-to spot for a mobile field office. The Wi-Fi is reliable, the seating is comfortable, and the bathroom is always clean. It’s Panera, so the food is exactly what you’d expect—consistent every time (whether you consistently like it or not is up to you 😄).
What really makes this location stand out is the staff. The manager and employees have always been friendly, helpful, and on top of things. I’ve never had any issues here, and it’s an easy place to work, grab a bite, and relax.

i love this establishment. i go here like once a week...im panera addicted. most employees and managers are wonderful. my food is always spectacular, if there ever happens to be a mistake they always fix it without charge and give out freebies when they mess up. theyre awesome and i tip them at least a dollar every time i go!!! BUT tonight i went about an hour before close and this manager was loudly and rudely berating her employees. other people were in the lobby and it was rather uncomfortable. employees looked absolutely miserable. usually the energy in the store is fun and vibrant. i love seeing employees getting along, talking, enjoying their time; the way this manager was talking to her employees was really abhorrent. makes me sad for the employees, hopefully this was just an off day for the manager. ive been in the position of being both a manager and employee in fast food, and its not easy. having a miserable manager ruining your shift when your just trying to get your job done isnt fun.

If you are elderly or going with someone who is elderly I would go another place for safety reasons. Twice now on different occasions I found sharp pieces in my food - first time was a broken chicken bone in my salad, and the second time (yesterday) was a broken plastic piece in my salad. Both times were through doordash and were salads, so perhaps their prep methods are hastily done for those. Either way, I would steer clear as this is a safety hazard. I am currently trying to see what my options are through doordash because this is unsafe.

I always liked Panera breads around the country. The menu is fairly consistent in the food is usually always very good. This restaurant is no exemption. Enjoyed my visit.

Every time I go there they have no plain bagels and I have to wait an hour everytime. Something needs to change cause this is unacceptable as someone who works at a breakfast stop as well. That’s shouldn’t be happening everyday. Just went in again. No plain bagels. No bagels at all. How? You’re a breakfast business.
