Authentic in the way you might possibly get murdered walking in the seedy back door. The filthy, post-industrial carpeting also really adds to the ambiance. I ended up with a pretty standard grinder grinder for a premium price. Hard to see how the place holds up considering the other options in town.

We ordered several trays of deli goodie’s and they were absolutely wonderful! We will definitely be ordering again!

I keep giving them second chances but they continue to disappoint. I waited more than 15 minutes only to receive a cold toasted tuna sandwich that was pancake thin for $10. Poor service, low quality food and too expensive. Not the Italian delis I grew up with! C-ya Salerno’s.

The best sandwiches hands down!! They just know how to make the perfect sandwiches. Classic and always amazing!!!

This place had a variety of sandwiches to choose from. I loved the fact that they gave them their own unique names. Makes it memorable. What ever you order, you'll be satisfied for sure! Can't wait to go back!

sad to see that Salernos has gone out of business, no website, they dont answer the phone, and no FB posts since 2017. They will be sorely missed in Torrington

One would think if you are paying $14 for a grinder they could get your order right. Need to pay attention to how your customers want their sandwiches.

My absolute favorite place to buy grinders/subs hands down. Their salads and other dishes are also amazing!

Their godfather might be the best sandwich I've ever had.

When we lived in CT we loved getting Godfather grinders from Salerno’s. Today we were in the area and made a point to get them. The bread was so stale and there was barely any cherry peppers on it. I had one half a pepper on one side of the grinder and one half on the other side. It was not at all what it used to be. The kid that brought our grinders out to the car (Covid restrictions) couldn’t answer any questions. We asked if they had sopressata available and he didn’t know what it was. He looked at us like we were crazy. So disappointed. Won’t be going there again.

Best lunch I have had in awhile! Food was amazing. Ordered the ultimate chicken Cesar wrap and it was so tasty. Friend got the stuffed bell peppers which were huge and very tasty and filling, worth every single penny you spend. Will be back soon!

Incredible! Great protocol for COVID times. Definitely a trustworthy deli. Get the turkey, egg, and cheese panini/Big Tony breakfast sandwich for breakfast and the Godmother sandwich for lunch. Soooooo gooooood! Homemade stuffed hot cherry peppers entirely worth it. Worth the money, worth the contactless pick-up/delivery -- SUPPORT LOCAL! :)
