Food & service have been nothing short of TOP TIER at Sol Café. In my humble opinion, one of the most underrated and deliciously curated Latino restaurants in all of Connecticut! I mean that whole heartedly and this place has continued to exceed my expectations. I’ve been a customer for almost 2 years, and I can’t be any more satisfied with my experiences throughout my time here! Cheers to many years to come!?

I love this place. Great Dominican food and great service. My order is always on point and as a hispanic person the taste and seasoning is authentic ?. On the weekends this is my go to place.

Really great food and service. Loved the rice with Pigeon peas, and the fried chicken and fried pork chops are a must. We used to eat here all the time but for some reason we hadn't been in while. It's now going to be back in our rotation for sure.

This is the best Hispanic food in CT! For many years, I had been looking for a place that makes Hispanic food the way it is cooked here, and I found it here!! It is absolutely delicious!!

A surprise gem of a Latino food restaurant in the heart of Torrington!Parking: There’s a parking lot next to the building that doesn’t appear to be restricted or paid.

First time going here and last. Came on a Saturday, as I walked in the door, I see one table being served, but my focus was to do take out only. Notice 2 waitresses behind the bar, who never acknowledged or looked my way, stood there for 5 minutes then ask one of them if I could place an order. She immediately said "one second " and walked away (very unprofessional and rude). Waited an additional 5 minutes until my order was placed. When my order was finished , I was given a price that was well above the menu price. When asked why, one of the waitresses stated their prices went up. I then said to her, that it is illegal to charge prices that does not coincide with their menu price and the menus with the incorrect pricing should be removed to avoid confusion. She then showed a sign that was not visible to customers coming in to place orders. First and foremost this is illegal, the service is unprofessional and the food was not even great, very bland and overrated. My order was shrimp tacos, calamari and beans with white rice. Tacos contained brown wilted iceberg lettuce with 3 bland soggy fried shrimp, the calamari was very bland and soggy served on wilted spinach and the beans were over cooked and mushy. Overall, the food was very distasteful and horrible, was not edible and tossed in the trash. These reviews have to be from friends and family of the owner. Don't believe it. I will never recommend nor will be returning. These people are total scammers that serve horrible overrated food!

Excellent food and amazing service. A little out of the way and definitely "hole in the wall" vibes.Parking: Parking was a bit challenging...but achievable.

My wife and I was our first visit.Loved the atmosphere and the food is great! Affordable and large servings. They ran out of rice so we waited for nearly an hour. But really enjoyed our visit. We will definitely be going back, soon! Enjoy ?Vegetarian options: Rice and beans! Need I say more? ?Parking: Side street. Not a busy through way.

We stopped on the way down from upstate NY to southern CT. Atmosphere was not inviting nor friendly. We decided to stay anyway since we were tired and hungry. We waited about 45 minutes for our food to be served. That would have been the time to leave. The star is for the food because the taste is really good and was well made. But unfortunately, the chairs are broken, the place is dark and rundown and has absolutely no charm. And to top it off, the prices on the menu are not correct and we ended up paying $3 per person more than what it says.Great food but hard pass for the rest unless they speed up service and correct their pricing issues. Go to the Panera next door.
