Time and time again they messed up on a simple turkey sandwich, always missing ingredients if it’s not that then they put what ever..

Rustic little deli cafe located next to the Rusty Nail bar. The inside is all wood decor. The food is great for lunch break during the week or a quick bite of food. The sandwiches are great and they have an excellent selection. It may be advised to call ahead to order during busy times or if you are in a rush. There are a few small tables inside and outside for eating.

I’m a cutlet lover and I Had their chicken cutlet sandwich On a roll!. And let me tell you fire !!! One of the best cutlets I’ve had yet !!

When ever I'm visiting in Torrington, I pick up sandwiches at the Rusty General Store. I came by it by accident when I thought I'd made a wrong turn. Now I make a point of grabbing sandwiches whenever I'm visiting my friend. The staff is always friendly and the sandwiches are great.?

I moved across the street from them this year gave them a try everyone said there really good got a chicken chopoitla sandwich most horrible thing ever wasn't even right it was a burnt peanut butter chicken sandwich!!!!!! Haven't gone in month but decided to try again with a bacon egg sandwich cant mess that up right no there once pice of bacon's burt to black why would you ever surve that!! Waste of money.

Spent a lot of time being ignored when all I wanted to do was be rung up for some convenience items. It happens they are busy. But kind of annoyed at a convenience fee that was added to my CC card. Pretty confident you can’t do that in CT.

Food is just ok, sometimes the so called hot sandwiches are handed to me cold or there out of something that on the menu board. eh not impressed.

Second time I've been here and it's just as good as I remembered it. Very clean and friendly professional staff. Sandwiches are great .

Love this place! We eat lunch and breakfast there all the time. The food is good but what we really love is the service. The counter person, Chelsea, always has a smile on her face. Something I don’t often see these days. She makes us feel so welcomed and she is so helpful when we have questions.Rusty General has it all, good food and home town feel plus service with a smile.

Every time I try and go they close at a different time. Sign on the door says 4, Google says 4 but tried to grab a sandwich and they closed at 2. Very inconsistent also if you walk in and they’re almost closing they do NOT want to serve you.
