Fun local joint with mostly craft beer on tap. Karaoke on Thursdays is lovely and fun. Loving this place!

The TL;DR - I don't think the Tipsy Pig knows if it's a bar or a restaurant. The food is great, but the focus of the service is on the bar. The full review - there is parking in the back, and the entrance is in the front. It feels like a long walk on a cloudless, hot day. There is outdoor picnic bench seating, and inside seating at the bar, high tops, and regular tables. There are several games available for dart play, and seems to be a regular meeting spot for some based on the happy birthday balloons still up from a day or so before. Our waitress was very friendly and welcoming, she was quick with drinks and made well received recommendations. Then the food - the Tipsy Pig has a menu one would expect from a lunch place with alcohol. Burgers, sandwiches, apps. What they seemed to be doing is getting everything prepared at once - appetizers and entrees - and bringing them out at once, table by table. The bad news is it took a long time (40 mins to an hour) to get the food to our table, even though there were only two tables ahead of us. The good news is the food was great! The poutine had great cheese curds with a darker gravy than you normally see, the burgers were juicy and well cooked, and the chips were crispy. Absolutely no complaints about the food, take-out may be the safest way to go if you're not drinking!

We were on a road trip driving through Connecticut to Hyde Park, NY. Saw the sign for The Tipsy Pig and pulled in. Since they had just opened for the day, we spent time talking to Ryan, the owner. He's amazing! The food and drinks were amazing too!!! It's a small place but well worth a stop!!! My husband and I were thrilled to eat and enjoy!!!

Ordered $75 worth of food. Paid $19 for boneless wings, was given 6 wings. Paid $9 for chips and queso. The queso came in a dressing sized cup. The food smells terrible to the point where we won’t eat it. Called the Restaraunt and was supposed to receive a call back from the owner who never called back.

Really struggled with giving this 3 stars instead of 2. The quality of food doesn't surprise for the area. From litchfield to torrington is some of the most dullest food Ive ever tasted. This being one to add to the list. I'm convinced they have a child creating the menu and preparing the food. Ordered the Tipsy Pig sandwich. Everything tasted like it was thawed from a freezer pouch and assembled. The brioche bun was white sandwich bread. Flavorless pulled pork, no smoke no seasoning besides a hint of crappy bbq sauce. The mac and cheese tasted like a generic version of Stouffers. I thought the crispy onions were going to be onion strings or rings. Instead it was a sprinkle of what appeared to be Frenches onions. The sweet potato fries were served unsalted and way over cooked. The boneless wings looked like Tyson microwave chicken tenders. I could guess there isn't more than an air fryer and microwave in this joint. Disappointed, not worth trying again.

There was only one other customer there who wouldn't shut up from the second he walked in. I was eating a good burger and was getting a little irritated. Then he told the barmaid to get me a beer for having to listen to him the whole time. We started talking and he didn't stop talking but told some rather funny stories. He turned out to be a nice guy having a bad and needed to vent over a drink. Cool little place and a good burger

Cool dive bar. Went for trivia night and the trivia host was fantastic. Good place to grab a drink.

The atmosphere and drinks were good. The food was pretty bad... cold mac and cheese, cold cheese curds on the poutine. Everything seemed to be microwaved or half microwaved. If you are going for the food, I suggest don't.
