The service was HORRENDOUS!! I walk in and there was no one to greet me. I walked around the restaurant and to no avail. So I walked myself to the restroom. When I came out, I went by the entrance to wait to be greeted. Still nothing!! I actually had to walk up to the register to grab someone’s attention! We were a party of 4. With good customer service, everyone’s main dish should all come out together. Everyone in my group received their main dish but me. My party was almost done with their main dishes and my main dish still did not come out!! While I am annoyingly waiting for my main course, a server comes to our table to bring me soup. I did not order soup!! A server finally comes to me just to bring me something I did not order! By the time my main dish came out, my entire table was done with their meals! And NOT ONCE did anyone ever come back to our table to check how we were doing or if we needed anything else. Then we get our bill. With good customer service, a server should come back to our table to collect the payment. We were waiting so darn long, I got up and walked to the register yet AGAIN, and handed them the bill. I should NOT have to do that! Maybe that entire staff was having a bad day but I shall NEVER return to this God awful establishment!! I left a less than a desirable tip and also left a message on my bill. I tip based on service and I WAS NOT satisfied with the service here hence the insulting tip I left!

I tried the mango boba tea today. Absolutely insane. It was so delicious, the tapioca balls are insanely delicious. It was blended very nicely which was super refreshing. All in all, super delicious and yummy!

This is by far the best Thai restaurant in CT. We have been a customer for many years and travel frequently and have yet to find a better Thai restaurant in CT than Vientiane. Bay and his staff are always friendly and accommodating and willing to make any adjustments to most of their excellent dishes. Besides having excellent food and an extensive menu to please anyone, they are very moderately priced and you definitely get your monies worth. One other great feature of this restaurant is you can BYOB!!!! Don't hesitate to visit this great restaurant and I guarantee you will return again and again if you are truly a fan of authentic thai food.

We were the only table at first, so it was not very busy at the time. Although the food was delicious, the wait was very long. I was brought a cup of rice that I stared at for about 10 minutes before the rest of my meal came to the table. You would think the timing could be better.

Traveling through the area stopped in for lunch. Ordered Asian salad requested peanut dressing. It was absolutely delicious. All the ingredients were fresh and tasty. The Asian ice tea was spot on and it was clear that they don’t add food coloring (makes it more orangey )like some Asian restaurants I’ve been to. I will be returning.

This is our 4th visit, and the food continues to impress with its great taste and freshness. We started with the crispy pork spring rolls and scallion pancakes, both of which were delightful. For the main course, we had the ginger stir fry with shrimp and the pad see ew with shrimp. Both dishes were absolutely delicious!

First of all the service was exceptional. Secondly, all of the food was outstanding including the appetizers and each of the entrees we ordered. Noticeable is the freshness of the ingredients and thoughtfulness in presentation. The food here looks as wonderful as it tastes. If you prefer vegetarian there are plenty of delicious options here. The atmosphere is very clean, warm, and welcoming. Highly recommended.
