After living in Torrington for over 20 years, my husband and I ate at the Winchester for the first time last night - we had always thought it was just a bar. So glad we found out otherwise! Food, service & atmosphere were all good. Price was suited to fine food, atmosphere, and service. The seats were good for 15 to 30 minutes. They've been that way for years. I think they would get a lot more business if they replaced the seating all around. This is why they only see us once every couple of years.
Booked The Winchester for my dad’s 80th birthday party and had a lovely time. Had the whole dining room to ourselves for the party. Got the buffet package meal: salad, bread, pasta and meatballs, soda/coffee. Very reasonable prices! There was an option for a higher price which included more food, but I cant remember what. Staff was Danielle and Carla and they were both awesome. Food tasted great. Brought our own cake and staff assisted with cutting and serving. Very helpful....
