Food tasted amazing, everything.

Would probably return.

My one complaint was that they prioritized outgoing orders instead of a sitting table of 6 people. We ended up waiting 1.5 hours after ordering our good for it to arrive which was ridiculous.

One word: fresh. Everything looks and tastes as though it was prepared from scratch after your order was placed (probably not entirely true, but it seems so). You'll fall off the diet wagon for the warm pita made in house.

Simple authentic Greek menu. Gyros were very good. Hummus platter and tzatziki was phenomenal. Couldn't stop eating it. Falafel platter was enormous! Definitely would return!

Yia Yia’s used to be great. I moved over 30 minutes away and there are no good Greek restaurants near me. It’s summer and I was really craving the karpouzi salad with watermelon (past two summers was making my own). Decided to make the drive JUST to order that salad. Figured I’d pick up some falafel and Yia Yia’s chips too to make it worth the trip. The staff is always friendly and the restaurant is always so nice and different inside. You feel like you’re actually in Greece for a brief moment. Unfortunately that’s where the good part of my review ends. Their food has really gone downhill. I was so disappointed. The karpouzi salad was such a let down. It was an extremely small portion. The watermelon chunks were tiny. You used to have to cut them in half they were so big. There were 5 tiny cubes of feta. And only 2 mint leaves???? NOT even close to what was posted on their instagram page nor what I remember ordering many, many times while I lived in Torrington. Also, the Yia Yia’s chips were disappointing. I was expecting this meal pick up to last me for the weekend. The portion now (at least what they gave to me) is so small I finished it that night. Not the portion size it used to be or what it should be for the price they charge. I will say the falafel, while the size was a bit smaller than they used to be, were still good. But it was definitely not worth the $45 nor the 30 minutes drive there and back to pick it up. Will not go back nor would I recommend. Sharing pics of my small salad compared to what is posted online. You can tell the watermelon chunks are barely half the size and see the two sad mint leaves. The dressing was separate as it was to go so I had not added yet.

I went here for the first time last weekend and am happy I did!

The food was very good. We got the three dip sampler that came with fresh pita, the Greek fries, and the oven-baked cheese with tomatoes and white wine. The cheese and hummus were a bit underwhelming but the tzatziki and the feta dip were extremely good. They were unfortunately dealing with an issue that made it so they only took cash, so we did have to walk across the street to the gas station for an ATM but it was worth it!

Spent a week in this town, and this was the best food I had all week. It was on the last night too. I would have come here multiple times if I could. The vibes and atmosphere were fabulous. It felt like we were in Greece. Probably the best Greek food I have ever had.

The feta was amazing. I had it on top of my fries. Something about their pita bread made it exceptional. Great flavor, light, and airy.

My colleague and I had the chicken and lamb gyros, roasted on a spit and served with tomato, red onion, lettuce, and tzatziki in pita bread with fries on the side.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

What drew me to this restaurant was its interior design—they did a fantastic job with it. It truly feels like you’ve been transported somewhere far from Connecticut. Bright and charming, the space captures the essence of dining outdoors on a Greek island. One of the standout features is the use of artificial pink bougainvillea, which adds a vibrant and authentic touch.

It’s refreshing to find something this unique in the area. The food is excellent, though you should be prepared to wait a bit for it to be ready.
