I got the Brisket and it was delicious and tender. Unfortunately it was mostly fat. Maybe just bad luck. The sauces were also delicious . The prices were very high but this is understandable given inflation for restaurant owners. Beef production is now controlled by 4 conglomerates so this doesn't help. I will be back to try it again soon.

Our entire family, six adults and two children, enjoyed a fabulous lunch here last Saturday. The food was absolutely delicious! We decided to go big and had the ribs, both types of sausage, pulled pork, brisket, pulled chicken, chicken leg and thigh, collard greens, Mac and cheese, coleslaw, cornbread and more. We ate our fill and had enough left overs for four adults to enjoy lunch and dinner on Sunday! The meats were perfectly smoked and the sides were incredible. If you're ever out that way, be sure to stop by Zach and Lou's for a delicious meal!

Wheelchair accessibility: I use a wheelchair and it was actually quite easy to enter the restaurant.

The best barbecue around. If you are in the area, you have to stop in. They do tend to run out closer to closing, so get there early to make sure you get your favorite.

My first time @ Zach & Lou's and I was really impressed with the service, quality and freshness of offerings and portion size . Love the hometown vibe and personal service. Ribs, Brisket, pulled pork sandwich, baked beans, mac & cheese & cornbread were all excellent . A hidden gem on the outskirts of Torrington , Ct. Highly Recommended!

Best bbq in CT. Burnt ends and Mac and cheese are our go to, it’s always amazing. Customer service is always great, granted we don’t ask annoying common sense questions. The reviews about the price are ridiculous, they’re on par with any other bbq place. A business has to raise prices to make money.

Anyways, thank you for providing such a great place to eat in an area that doesn’t have a lot of good options!!

Brisket sandwich was PERFECT but the thing I can’t get over is how damn good the greens were. Best I’ve ever had outside of the Deep South and it’s not even close.

No beer. Overpriced. Portions are less than they were before. Meat was warm, not hot. If you live out there or are driving through, not bad. If you're hankering for the best BBQ and willing to drive, this probably isn't the one for you

My son and I had lunch here today. We both had one meat (pulled pork) and two sides with a small drink. The bill was over $50. This is insane for what we received. To make the situation worse they mix the pulled pork with a liquid before pulling it out of the pan to weigh it. The meal is crazy expensive and they still have to cheat you on the weight. Honestly the pulled port I make at home is far better. I can see this place going out of business.
