Can't follow simple instructions when making food that's been ordered the same exact way multiple times, so unfortunately would rather travel out of town to their Bristol location or to a different place entirely.

I have been here 3 times... Alex honestly makes the best old fashioned in the valley. Food is good, service is great, and the vibe is the perfect mix of local pub and bustling sports bar. 5 stars.

Second time at Iron Horse in Unionville CT. Totally different experiences. Went about a month ago. Bar was busy. The bartender Alex was great. I was surrounded by regulars and the vibe was fun. Half price burgers on Mondays made it even better. Talked with guy next to me. Whole place just felt comfortable. Burger was decent, not great but it didn't matter.
So I was in the area again and thought I'd go back. Walked in, Alex was there as was another bartender. Never got his name. Place died out as soon as Alex left, coincidence I don't know. Ordered a burger and a beer. Food came pretty quick and was actually much better than the one I had previously. However the vibe was totally different. The male bartender hung out with a friend or favorite regular. Had to work to get a refill. Place felt dull and unwelcoming. No more half price burgers on Mondays either it appears. I probably said 15 words the whole time I was there. Didn't enjoy myself in the least and was ignored. No big deal but I thought maybe I'd found someplace special. Will look elsewhere.
So kudos to Alex. Without her you have nothing. Rated 3 stars just for her personality. Tonight was a one-star experience.

Hey…. We need often get delivery form Iron horse…. This time pizza, grinder, fries and garlic knots were all cold. The delivery was promised at 7p but didn’t arrive until after 7:20. The garlic knots were over done w no garlic butter sauce. They are usually drenched in it and tasty. Dry and hard

Great local pub. The people there are friendly and fun
The Iron Horse in Unionville is the kind of place where you can hang out with friends or enjoy a quiet evening on your own—either way, you'll feel right at home. I can’t recommend it enough! What sets this place apart, though, is the staff. Alex, the bartender, is not only skilled but friendly and engaging, making the experience feel personal and memorable. You can tell she genuinely enjoys what she does, and it shows in the quality of service and the caring way she talks to you.

Great service, but the kitchen messed up our order that took 30 minutes to get out. Didn’t feel like eating without my wife so I enjoyed nice cold food. Never really get to eat out anymore, but what do you expect from a crappy restaurant. Photo attatched of crappy sandwich. Oh and the Mac and cheese sucks too

5 Stars for me! Laid back atmosphere, friendly staff and yummy food. Definitely has become a go to place for me and my friends. Alex, the bartender, is wonderful. I give her a main ingredient for a drink and tell her to surprise me. She always delivers something super yummy! Definitely a place I can go to alone and feel comfortable or a night out with friends.

The Iron Horse has quickly become one of my favorite local spots. The atmosphere is exactly what you'd want from a regular hangout - welcoming and full of character. Whether you're stopping in for a quick drink or out with friends, it always feels like you're in good company.
Special shoutout to Alex—she’s friendly, observant, and knows her art inside and out. Her cocktails are spot-on, and somehow remembers everyone. No joke, went in last summer with a friend, we just returned this spring and she remembered both of us. It's now in the normal rotation.
It’s rare to find service this genuine these days. Great drinks, good vibes, and even better people.

Staff is always very nice when I go in but the pizza has just gone down hill I’m sorry to say. This the third time I’ve tried it and it’s 1. Like card board and 2. What restaurant puts slices of pizza on top of each other? Slices go side by side so the cheese doesn’t stick to each other although Unfortunately this pizza doesn’t stick bc I don’t k ow if they wait till it’s cold before they put it in the box but I’ve hat piping hot pizza from the restaurant 10 miles away and I literally live behind this restaurant so I don’t understand how it’s cold and looks three days old by the time I get it home. Pics are attached so you can see what I’m talking about this time. I bought two slices and a bowl of soup…..I didn’t get to the soup yet bc I’m so upset about the darn pizza…..
I guess there is no way to add pictures if I figure out a way, I will upload them

Absolutely the worst pizza I’ve had in a lifetime, the crust was thick and gooey with no taste, tasted like a raw ball of uncooked dough, I had better pizza from the dollar store freezer case, never going back, a total waste of hard earned money
