I got a medium 3 pc tender. The medium was so spicy for how it’s supposed to be. The chicken was still pink and were chewy so I told the guy at the counter and he gave me a new set and the new ones were still pink

The individual the helped me, she was very bothered to take my order, breathing hard like I was a bother to her, unbelievable, remember people without customers you don’t have a job,won’t come back here, if you have a bad day, either find away to deal with it or stay home, your not dealing with animals, your dealing with people, thanks

Went to BirdCode for the first time, a coworker recommended it while i was on a work trip to CT. The food was good but the worker who took care of us was so annoyed by our existence and everyone’s who went in the restaurant. Constant dirty looks and eye rolls. I shouldn’t be made to feel like a bother for simply walking into a store that i’m PAYING to eat at. The lady was an African American masc with short hair. While i was there someone from doordash came in to get an order and she was so rude to him too. It’s ridiculous.

This is the 2nd time I been here and I disappointed this food is not worth 16 dollars Mac and cheese is undercooked and they got the spice level wrong 2 times and the prices are outrageous

Sandwiches have been and still are good, but the fries have been ice cold the last two times I've gotten food here. Full disclosure - I am getting it delivered, but the delivery times haven't gone up at all so the only explanation I can think of is that they were already cold or near-cold when they were bagged at the restaurant.

So good. Fries don’t travel well but they’re perfect if you hang out and eat there. Chicken is excellent and very consistent.

Swung by for a quick bite to eat for dinner. Gentleman at the cashier was kind and brought our food out promptly. Food was mediocre, paid $30 for a kids meal and a sandwich meal. I would say this place is super over priced for chick fil a like quality. Probably wouldn’t come again - nothing to be hyped over.

Believe the less than great reviews, save your money. The teenagers running this location are not making good food like the people at the WEHA location (the only other one I’ve ever tried- numerous times). Nor are they friendly or customer service oriented at all.
My food from this Vernon location was so much more like fast food in appearance & taste. Flavorless, skimpy, long thin, mostly batter code bites vs what I expected/had at the other location where they’re big, round, juicy , delicious bites with tons of flavor. These fries were greasy, soggy, & flavorless vs the crispy, flavorful, amazing ones of the other location. You could’ve told me this was from KFC or whatever, & i’d have fully believed that, bc it sucked. Nothing like the WEHA location’s quality or flavor. Not worth the $11. Glad I didn’t waste any more than that though.
The better one is twice as far from me but I guess I’ll be sticking with that one unfortunately.

Saturday 8/30/25 I experienced birdcode for the first time. My brother orders there all the time and he stands by the food being well made. I've come to see that it was true. Very bad attitude because we came in close to closing. I've worked in restaurant and fast food services in my prior years as a young man and I have never behaved like this Young lady in front of customers. The African American gentleman in the back was fine.The caucasian young lady that was cooking food was very pleasant. the bad apple was the heavy set african american young lady. As soon as we entered it didn't even take a second for her to show how annoyed she was through whines and grunts that she had two more customers before closing. Just to show how human and understanding I am, i do understand how frustrating it can be when you have one or two more things to take care of before you close and someone comes in to order food but At NO TIME, should an employee be slamming Garbage cans, slamming chairs while stacking them, making it impossible to hear a conversation between myself my brother and the order taker. Knowing that her coworker was very unprofessional the cook came out and gave us what we needed and put pleasure on the visit. SoMeone needs to talk to that young lady and tell her how to be more professional even at a time of inconvenience. What makes it so bad is I'm not the one that order food. But I damn sure I am not coming back to that one as long as I see her there. I don't trust that my food will be made right or with care with someone who can let anything ruin their quality of work because of a customer being inconvenient.

Five stars for significant improvement on 8/20. Okay so, as the other reviews stated, our first experience here was less than stellar. The chicken we got was so laden with grease a few of us got really upset stomachs from eating it. It seemed like the chicken wasn't put to dry out after coming out of the fryer and went straight into the container, still dripping in fry oil. Additionally, the banana pudding we got, the bananas were completely green and hard. We wanted to try it again since the west hartford location is so good. This time when we got the chicken, it was not dripping in grease at all. The chicken was delicious! I also got the banana pudding again, and the bananas were nice and ripe, very nice pudding.

If you guys read reviews, please please please take heed of mine and multiple others and *let your chicken rest after it comes out of the fryer*. Also, never use green bananas for the pudding. Keep up the good work.

I have been going to Birdcode hot chicken since they originally opened their first location, however the Vernon location is a lot closer to me, so once they opened, I began going to that location more regularly. The food has never once been bad, it always blows my mind with how flavorful, juicy, and fresh it tastes. The chicken does not taste like fast food chicken-- it is fresh and has an organic taste. I personally am not a huge fan of mac'n'cheese in general, however the Birdcode mac'n'cheese is phenomenal! It is so creamy and comforting, it is a must have item. The comeback sauce is also a must have, if you're weary to try it, I would highly recommend asking for it on the side; no matter what you should not pass it up! The coleslaw is so fresh, as somebody who does not like mayonnaise, the coleslaw is vinegar only, which may seem a bit overpowering but they make it with the perfect ratio! Although I don't usually like crinkle cut fries, Birdcode makes theirs with a special crisp, and they are so well seasoned, they are a perfect side to my favorite dish: The Sando. The Sando is the perfect meal at Birdcode, it has the best balance of ingredients and is my favorite thing on the menu. Please do not go to Birdcode and leave without trying The Sando. To finish for desert, the banana pudding is so good, it is sweet and creamy-- it is a masterpiece. The house made drinks are not my favorite, I think they are a bit too sweet, but most people who try them enjoy the drinks. I would say that the restaurant is usually pretty clean, it has a beautiful hot-chicken inspired mural, cool neon signs, and a spunky style decor to it. My service is usually not perfect, however I have never received bad service from this restaurant either. I would highly recommend you take a stop by this location for a life-changing chicken sandwich!

This was probably the worst chicken sandwich I’ve ever had. Bottom bun was complete mush. I didn’t wait long after getting my order to eat it. I took the patty off the bun and ate it with a fork. 2 stars because the patty was good
