We got steak and cheese grinders and mozzarella sticks. Everything was good, just a little pricy. Will come back to try something new!

You might be wondering why I would get tacos at a pizza spot in Vernon CT. Don’t question it. Get the tacos from this pizza spot. It’s hard to find good authentic tacos in CT. Too many Tex-Mex options but this is the real deal. The pizza is great and honestly everything I’ve tried on the menu has been good. It’s super clean inside and the family that runs it are so friendly. Juan and his family are awesome people. Support a small business. Go devour some delicious tacos and pizza!

I'm so conflicted. I've had them twice now. Gotten the same thing both times: Capicola grinder and the turkey BLT wrap. Best fries and capicola around. Bread is great. BLT Turkey wrap is great. But, they're so stingy with their meat. I literally give my 3 year old daughter more meat on her sandwiches. And for $15 a grinder, it's truly unacceptable. Adding a side of fries to the wrap is $5, making it $16+, which is higher than others around.

I want to leave 5 stars so badly because the place is very clean inside and the staff are really nice, but it's just not worth the money with the portions they provide. I'll give it once more shot. If there's adequate meat, I'll upgrade to 5; if not, I'll drop to 3*.

Mostly take out, but the pizza was good as well as the salad. My husband and I shared both.
Not many tables since they mainly do take. Nothing fancy, ut the family who owns the restaurant are very friendly.

Family’s Pizza and Grinders is an amazing place! My girlfriend and I, who aren’t from around here, decided to stop by for a bite. We ordered the carnitas tacos and a crispy chicken grinder. Both were delicious, and the young man at the front counter was incredibly friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this place!

First time customer, saw their videos on Tik Tok, decided to come in and let me tell you, AMAZING! The food was delicious, fresh and good pricing. The staff very friendly and professional. I drove 18 mins here and will be coming back. Family owned business, so have to support 🙌🏼

Found this family owned business on TikTok but it was about 1.5 hours away. My fiance and I don’t mind driving around to try new spots but we had day date planned in CT and decided to make a stop here.

First, customer service was 10/10. Juan waited on us and was very polite and we didn’t feel rushed to order. We ordered regular fries, a large meat lovers and 2 drinks. We also opted to dine in and the atmosphere was very clean and comfortable. We didn’t feel like we waited long for our food to arrive at our table, it was probably no more than 20mins and it was delicious. Crust was perfectly cooked through and everything tasted fresh. Juan checked in on us occasionally and was very kind to offer us anything we needed.

Overall, when we are in the area again we will definitely be coming back. Thank you to Juan and the staff. Keep posting and hope to visit again soon!

Great place to stop with the family! Maria was so sweet and helpful. The food was perfect for a quick stop while driving by on route 84. My kids enjoyed their spaghetti and quesadilla. I enjoyed my chicken cutlet sandwich and my wife like the Greek salad. The price was as expected, but the service was the shining star. Thanks for a nice stress free dinner!
