Wonderful
we purchased a chocolate, a raspberry, and a butter croissant along with a day-old baguette. Everything was delicious!
I called to make sure they use ingredients I find acceptable. Before I could ask they said they were too busy to talk and I should come down a look at what they have. No thank you.

Generations ago the local baker was an integral part of every community. Households would go get fresh bread for the day or the week, the local brewer would go to the baker for his yeast, the baker was one of the most important people in any community. Nowadays we buy mass produced bread with 25 ingredients that has almost no flavor, no crust, no crumb, was made entirely by a machine with no care at all, and it magically lasts 7-10 days. This is not some modern bakery with large amounts of sugary pastry’s (although they did have a limited selection if that’s what you’re looking for). This is an old school French bakery that appears to be family owned where you walk in and get a delicious loaf to eat for the next 2-3 days.Highly recommended stopping in and picking up a loaf or baguette. He did not have many loaves on display so I can only assume he makes small batches for the day. This business and the owners deserve a lot more customers but I think so many of us grew up on wonder bread and processed junk we don’t even know what real bread is or its significance in human history. We’re better off getting our bread locally with no preservatives than buying the stuff at the supermarket that has 25 ingredients and no flavor or texture.Go check this place out, don’t expect a modern bakery, expect a real loaf or baguette of French bread for a fair price and support a local business owned by real people in our community. You won’t be disappointed when you cut a slice and put some butter on it or dip it in olive oil (or just rip off a piece and eat it plain like we did)

This place will not be for everyone. Walk in with an open mind and support a small business. The older guy, who I believe owns the business, is very friendly, and the pastries are delicious!

Simply the best bakery
I really wanted to love this place, but was very disappointed in the plain croissants. Not only were they slightly burnt, but were hard on the INSIDE. I asked the shopkeeper if they were baked today and he said yes. When I told them they were hard his response was that it was because they don’t use preservatives. We also bought a baguette which was delicious. If in the area I would buy that again, but not the croissants, especially if they looked the way they did today.
