Rocking Horse Smokehouse

We went on a Sunday night 8:30 PM. It was busy, apparently it’s line dancing on Sundays. Waited quite a while for someone to even acknowledge the fact that I was waiting for a table. The other couple waiting had to actually go find someone to help. So once seated I waited a few minutes. A young girl came over and asked if I wanted something to drink as I was still waiting for my son to arrive. He comes in. She brings over my drink, didn’t even acknowledge him, and literally just walked away and never came back. I mean, never. I had to flag down the manager again the one who originally sat me to get him a drink and to take our order. The original waitress didn’t show up again until we were halfway through our meal. Still no idea what happened to her. She was attended toward the end, but by that time the vibe was already gone. We had a good meal we had dessert. The bill was close to $100 typicaly we are very good tippers last night we lived less than 10%. I am sure the manager knew how irate I was. She’s lucky She actually got anything considering the fact she had the manager doing her job.
I would go back though, because the food was actually really good. The atmosphere was fun. It was extremely loud because of the line dancing, but I will definitely give them another chance.

Debating on going here again. Went when first opened did not care for what I ordered. Heard new menu, decided to try again. Went on a Sunday night. Little bit of a wait for the waitress. Food was good. Portions also good.

Great food and atmosphere. Kids really enjoyed the mac and cheese, fries, and tenders. Coming back next weekend with the family.

Fun, upbeat, roadhouse style bar & grill. Great service with a smile, good food and drinks, and large portions at reasonable prices. There was a good band playing and sports on the big screens. Great crowd of people having fun. Very upbeat.

I want to like this place, it's close to home, the people are friendly and attentive and upbeat, it's clean and nice that it's so different from what else is around...but the food is terrible. I thought maybe they recognized that when they totally revamped the menu, but the new choices didn't seem very appetizing, and when I gave up trying to find a hidden gem on the menu and ordered one of the mediocre sounding options, it tasted worse than I feared it would. I've tried going back a few times figuring everybody has a bad day, but the kitchen definitely gets 5 stars for consistency.

Great food. Sadly I forgot our lovely waitress name but she was awesome. Big game hunter and the basketball games were a big hit with the kiddos. Reasonably priced. Handicapped accessible.

Dietary restrictions: Gluten and vegan options.

Parking: Huge open lit lot. Free parking

Kid-friendliness: The kiddos loved the basketball and big game hunter. We didn't let them get into a game of pool or the outside games . Cornhole and horseshoes.

Wheelchair accessibility: Wide open floor plan. No steps or ramps needed. Only bumps are thresholds and there pretty flush

I don’t usually write reviews, but I wanted to share my experience from last night. You had three bartenders working—the guy with long hair and the girl with the bandana were fantastic. However, the shorter bartender with dark hair in a long ponytail was incredibly rude. I mispronounced a food item when ordering and asked if the place used to be a movie theater, only to be met with snarky comments. Unprovoked, unprofessional, and unnecessary. If it wasn't for the other bartenders I wouldn't have left anything. First and last time here.

I had a chance to eat at this restaurant while traveling for work. I’m glad I did as the atmosphere, service & food was excellent! You have to see the place for yourselves. I’ll be back to enjoy other items on the menu. Enjoy!

Great beef chili and interesting croutons - yummy. The Maple glazed beef tips were a disappointment especially for the price.

Place has gone downhill since the new manager has shown up. Seems like she has no respect or trust in the employees. We have notice a few staple employees have even left.
