Group of 4 went staff was friendly and bar service was extremely nice and attentive. Ordered burnt end app and it was tough and over cooked. Had the brisket platter and again meat was over cooked and dry. Vinegar fries were under cooked.Overall staff and bar were good but wouldn't go out of my way to eat there again

Let's start off on a positive a note. The place is huge. It looks like a really fun bar at night. Has a really cool outdoor space. Plenty of good parking.But my son and I came for dinner.The hostess wasn't that polite and before I could even say hey can we switch to a booth she ran off. She seemed like she was more interested in talking to the cute coworkers We can also note that the place wasn't even 50% at capacity, maybe 10% at capacity.We ended up getting into a booth. I did ask my server if the chips were gluten free and they couldn't figure that out.I did have the salsa that they were provided with that was okayChicken wings had a nice Smoky flavor. Unfortunately they came out lukewarm.I was very happy. I opted for the sauces on the side. I got the sweet and the spicy that are available and I must say this. The sauces are just not for me. One of them's really sweet and one's just sweet with a little kick to it. A tiny kick at that.I did not like the taste of those sauces, neither did my sonI ended up getting a sampler dinner plate which consisted of ribs pulled pork and a Texas hot sausageAgain, everything came out very lukewarm not even warm or hot.The hot sausage didn't have any kind of kick to it in my opinion.I ordered the ribs in the pulled pork naked and I'm glad I did cuz that sauce that they're serving up is awful. I did end up taking it home and warming it up and it tasted decent with my own barbecue sauce from bears lolI also got collard greens which they were not bad but again everything came out very lukewarmMy son's Burger looked downright gorgeous the presentation of the mac and cheese also. But mac and cheese had no flavor along with the burger according to him.I actually complained about the burger being so bad that they took it off our billIf you are looking for a nice night out with music and beer, I highly recommend this place. Maybe if you're drunk, maybe the food will taste good and if you don't like spicy or warm in temperature food, this would be your place.

My husband and I just had the most amazingly delicious dinner at The Rocking Horse in Vernon,Ct. the plates were presented so nicely we didn’t want to touch them you got full just looking at them.The owner was so personable and very accommodating which made the whole experience even nicer.After dinner there was a band which was nice to listen to while having some cocktails.If you were wondering what we had I would just say try the NY Strip with the Mac and Cheese or the Fresno chicken sandwich.Five stars and will be returning again.

I was hesitant to try the place given the reviews. I was pleasantly surprised. We had wings and burgers and they were really good. I'm not sure the tumbleweeds had much flavor but they were fun to eat. The service was great as well.

Went in on Monday and had Rayann as my server. She was spot on and so accommodating. The burnt ends and buffalo mac and cheese were A1 ?
Just ate there for the first time. Having heard the food quality was iffy when it first opened, we waited until today to give it a shot. The place itself is nice, the server was friendly. The food? We started off with the worst burnt ends I have ever had. Just fatty, gross texture. My wife took one bite and ended there. Then I had the short ribs. I love short ribs and order them whenever I can. These were tasteless with a texture and color I’ve never had before. The vegetables tasted like they were out of a frozen bag and I don’t know what was up with the mashed potatoes but i don’t think they were real. I don’t usually write restaurant reviews but this was a total disappointment. My rating is solely based on the food since that is 90% of why anyone goes to a restaurant.

I ordered a Bunkhouse salad with chicken. I received a house salad with chicken. When finally getting the waitress’ attention, I explained what happened. She did apologize and asked if I wanted a new one made. Unfortunately my companions had finished their meals so I asked for it to go. Then next day I went to have it for lunch and again, it was a garden salad with chicken. I will not eat there again. Also note, I was charged for a Bunkhouse salad.

I was kind of uncomfortable…Very back yard barn style ambiance, to me. Tables real small. Clean tho.Food was mid at best. Mac & cheese was not good at all. They need a new recipe. The burnt ends were ok. Not too tender. Mashed potatoes were ok. Short rib was one big one & could have been more tender. Service was impeccable. Just wish the food matched.I probably won’t go back to sit in at the restaurant. May give it a shot in a few months to see if any thing changed…as a to go order.
