Absolutely love this place. Started coming here on a more frequent basis because of their enormous salads and delicious red sauce. From wings to pizza to parmigianas - you can't order wrong here. My mom loves the lasagna, and husband always gets their Italian sub. Amazing every time.
We moved from CT in 97. To this day everytime we are in CT we go there. The grinders are incomparable to any. If you haven't been there, make a trip, it is worth it. I have taken the ingredients back to where I have lived. Arizona, California, Texas and Florida. I wish we had something close to Vernon Pizza.
Vernon Pizza has, for the most part, served the best grinders and pizza in this area. The pizzas have had great crust and fresh meat and vegetables. Their grinders can be great, the large cheeseburger grinder I had last week was the way grinders should be. However, it IS a pizza restaurant, so, on occasion, things might be hit or miss. I ordered another large cheeseburger grinder tonight, expecting to get another delicious sandwich. But, this time, the hamburgers were BURNT! It...
