My wife and I go to Archie Moore’s in Wallingford every year because it’s where we had our first date. What started as a dating anniversary tradition has now turned into something we do with our kids, which makes it even more special for us.
We really like Archie Moore’s. It’s a solid sports bar–style restaurant with good food and a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere. We usually order wings, and this year my son and I split the boneless wings, which were very good. I ordered the smash burger this time. While it was okay, it wasn’t really smashed the way I was expecting. I was hoping for more of that crispy, lacy edge, and it felt more like regular burger patties. It didn’t blow me away, but it was still fine.

My wife enjoyed her sandwich, and overall the meal was good. One standout for me, as always, was the Cajun fries. They’re my favorite thing on the menu, and they didn’t disappoint. The kids both ordered chicken tenders and really enjoyed their meals as well.

Our waitress was very nice, and even on a Friday night, it wasn’t too crowded, which made for a relaxed and enjoyable experience.

This place has a lot of meaning for us, and we always look forward to our yearly visit. Nothing negative to say. Just a good meal, good service, and a place we’ll continue coming back to every year.

Great place for late night hangout. The food looked amazing! I didn't order food since I already ate, but have heard good reviews. Next time. Service was great, friendly crowd and welcoming atmosphere.

Had a burger with a fruend which was great so came back the next day to order wings and bonless wings to bring ti friends. They ravaged the wings but ignored the dry tasteless boneless for they turned out to be nothing but overcooked chicken, nuggets. $28 shot on a really bad idea.

I love everything about this place. The Salmon was cooked to perfection. The service is excellent and the prices are why people also keep coming back.

Food was mediocre and the service was worse. The waitress was rude and in such a hurry she got several of our party’s orders incorrect. Drink refills only because we asked. Food here used to be good, either is was a bad day or it’s going downhill.

My wife had steak sandwich was excellent I had cheeseburger and fries also excellent waitress was fantastic. Great service good value.

I went here Sunday, 6/22/2025. It was not my first time going here and food has always been good. Yesterday the service was great. Server attentive. I had a buffalo chicken sandwich and my friend had the beer battered chicken sandwich. Lettuce was on it as well. Everything tasted fine, but both of us were sick well into the night. I'm not sure if it was the chicken or lettuce that made us sick, but I will not be going back there.
