Strong attention to detail & creativity in the design of the space & menu. This is not a photo bait bar; decor was impeccable but drinks could stand on their own. Cozy space with welcoming, witchy vibes. Seasonal menu was creative & fun! Costumes & Halloween festivities were fantastic, but this should be a year round haunt for any cocktail fan!

The most fun place! My friends, husband & I went last weekend. The whole experience is awesome, from the code to get in, to the games, to the free stickers, to the festive and delicious drinks. It was everything we were looking for in our day of Halloween festivities. The staff is very welcoming and let us take pics of everything hah. I’m sure we were a little loud while we played cards & laughed a ton. We will be back!

Bones, as we affectionately call it, is our favorite local spot. We have been coming here every weekend for about a year now. The location is small in a cozy and welcoming way. It has such a warm and eclectic feel, with some witchy vibes as well. The staff and owners are not only masters of their tea and cocktail craft, but they are wonderful company. They are kind, friendly, and always catering to the needs of their customers. They have cultivated a wonderful atmosphere and community that we are proud to be part of. Now that their second location is open we get to see the lovely staff and enjoy more craft libations multiple times a week! This is a must-see location when visiting Wallingford.

This is the most magical hidden gem of CT, never have I been to a cooler bar than this fully costumed and entirely and completely witchcraft/Halloween decorated haven of alcoholic elixirs and even more so, to die for mocktails! The potion mistress herself, Sarah, will concoct the most delicious and gorgeous drinks for you on the spot, she just wins you over with her charm and unique creations. This really is just a stupendous sanctuary for all things magical!
Parking: Plaza parking lot right out front.

My partner and I went here for the first time last night and I cannot emphasize enough how awesome this place was!! After becoming disabled a few years ago, it’s been really hard to find safe places outside my house to socialize or just hang out. But the moment I rolled through the door (accessible ledge into the building! Couldn’t find one on the sidewalk close by though, so heads up!), I felt instantly welcome. I mentioned off hand that I have a blueberry allergy to a friend as one of the drinks has blueberry in it and without missing a beat, the staff jumped in and asked if I had any other allergies and confirmed the items on the menu that were safe for me to drink!! Usually restaurants get annoyed by that sort of thing but they took it seriously right off the bat without singling me out and from then on things just kept getting better. The island was low enough that I was able to pull my wheelchair right up to the bar to socialize, reach my drinks, and feel apart of it all. My partner and I got to have an awesome conversation with the bartender, owner, and a regular patron who’s now become a friend :). The path from the doorway to the bar was completely clear of obstacles and I was able to wheel up on my own, make full turns without hitting anything, and adjust my wheelchair position without issue which isn’t common in smaller establishments like this one (or really anywhere else to be frank)! Whether intentional or not, the layout was designed with accommodation in mind :) The music was just the right volume for conversation and comfort, the lighting was beautifully done — bright enough to see, but dim enough to be comfortable — and there were no strobes or flashing effects, the design was so unique and SO well executed, the staff were an absolute delight and made the best mocktails I’ve ever had (super creative and original too!), and the atmosphere — even when it got more crowded later in the evening — was both laid back and vibrant with a signature aesthetic and homey vibe that was just right for an autistic couple trying to get out more (me and partner lol)! It seemed that the vibes the staff put out reflected back into the customer base as well — everyone was so friendly, welcoming, and mutually respectful! Thank you so much to Bones and Botanicals for being so inclusive, for lifting my spirits, and for offering such an original, accommodating experience with /gifted/ bartenders, ideal atmosphere, and the perfect balance of sociability and comfort that you’d be hard pressed to find anywhere else! I can’t wait to become a regular :)
Dietary restrictions: Staff were very conscious, respectful, and proactive with my allergies and managed to ascertain what was safe for me to drink and what wasn’t without singling me out! They run a tight ship so the space was very clean and thus the risk of cross contamination was very very low! I can imagine that with their creativity, they could easily substitute ingredients and still have the drink come out as delicious as it would have been in its original state :) I definitely recommend this place for those of us with severe allergies and MCAS!
Wheelchair accessibility: Path was clear from the door to the bar and I was able to wheel myself right up, do a full turn on my own, and adjust my chair as needed without being in anyone’s way, bumping into things, or needing extra help. There was one lightweight stool in the spot I wanted to wheel up to which staff were able to quickly move to the side without obstructing any other guests and other sections of the restaurant. The ledge into the building was sloped so I was able to wheel myself in on my own as well, and the bar island was low enough that I could socialize and reach my drinks on my own without issue. There wasn’t a ramp onto the sidewalk near the restaurant that I could see, however, so be mindful of that! It appeared, though, that there was a slope further down the sidewalk but I didn’t get a chance to confirm its accessibility. The door requires a code (which is nice for crowd cont

The service from the two ladies was very welcoming and kind however the man with the pony tail was rude, abrasive, and unwelcoming. The atmosphere and service seemed like it was to cater to their friends rather than newcomers.

Absolutely adore this place!! Decor is amazing. All the teas are amazing, because it's such a curated list of really good ones, even though it's not a huge list. It's cozy, perfect for chatting with friends or new people because everybody has to get a secret door code just to get in so you know everybody is cool lol it's so aesthetic and I adore everything about it.if you love tea and creepy oddities, this is the spot!!!

Although it's been some time, I can still remember the generosity and sincerity that Jeremy and Sarah offered unto me. Solace is found when genuinely good people and good times come around. Happy for these two that they found a way to let their passion, creativity and love unfold. Wishing this business nothing more than health, happiness and success.
