Wow!!!! My boyfriend and I tried this new little spot on a whim and boy was it GOOD!!!! Honestly the best Mexican I’ve had in the states and I’ve lived in LA, California. It was so fresh and well made. Absolutely delicious. The tostadas were fire! So was the corn but those Churros!!! Honey. Let me tell you. THE BEST THING IVE EVER HAD! Get the caramel. I’m sure they’re all good but we got the caramel. It was like a warm custard inside of the churro. I thought it was gonna just be a sauce you dipped it in. They were excellent!!!!! I have a burrito I’m saving for later but I have no doubt it’s gonna be magic. Don’t sleep on this spot. It’s 100% worth it and the prices were beyond fare. Oh we also got tacos. I didn’t eat those but my man. Did. He loved them!!! Definitely go! And go now before they get so popular you can’t get in! Also, it needs to be mentioned that the customer service was outstanding. They were so kind and patient. Helpful. And all with a smile. I’mTelling you. Next big thing in Wallingford ??

We also love that it’s run by a very friendly and talented family.The prices are worth the love & quality that goes into the food and drinks.We love the dinners, burritos, tacos, seafood soup, tortas, fajitas, fresh juices, quesadillas, ensalada de pollo, smoothies, homemade salsas & chips, the condiments that come along with the tacos, the icecream and “Italian ice.” We love all the different meat/chicken/seafood choices.***Please support this business to keep it alive and running here in Wallingford.***They are very accommodating to respect food substitutions and provide very good customer service when dining-in.It’s a small restaurant, so not much seating if you’re a big group, but usually my family takes up two tables and we never had a problem finding a seat, or we order take-out to pickup, or DoorDash delivery.Kid-friendliness: They sell burgers (if needed) and they are delicious.

The food was fresh, But the hot sauce wasn't very spicy and the chicken in the tacos had no seasoning at all. Like none. It's just white. Also tastes like it may have been frozen.

I recently ordered takeout at Cositas Ricas Mexican restaurant and had quite an interesting experience. I ordered the Al pastor tacos, expecting the delightful combination of pineapple-marinated pork without tomatoes. Unfortunately, what I received were three tacos with dry beef and tomatoes, which was disappointing.To accompany my meal, I also ordered the salchipapas, hoping for a Mexican twist on this classic fry dish. However, what I got were simply French fries served with ketchup and mustard, which did not meet my expectations.Overall, I was let down by the inaccuracies in my order and the lack of the promised Mexican twist in the salchipapas. While the flavors were decent, the experience didn't live up to what I had hoped for at Cositas Ricas.

I ordered steak fajitas to go here.1. The steak is shredded and mixed with mostly peppers, and mushrooms and some avocado. I do not like mushrooms but it was impossible to locate them to remove. Thus, I ate them and I didn't die. In fact, this was the tastiest order of fajitas I've ever eaten, hands down. Tons of flavor.2. These came with homemade (I think) corn tortillas. I prefer flour tortillas. But because the filling was so frigging tasty I didn't care! I ate them and I didn't die.3.these came with refried beans. I was hoping it would be black beans but I was wrong. I don't care for refried beans. These were very loose, almost soup. I ate them and they weren't bad.4. The rice was good, not dry like you get in many places.So, all this being said I think the quality of the food was excellent. The place was clean and the employee was polite and friendly. I paid $20 for this food and a can of soda. While the meat/mushroom /peppers were delicious, by my observation there wasn't a whole lot of meat on the plate. I'd consider this a great pathway to vegetarianism. But I felt like the price tag was a little high for the amount of food in the box.

Food was okay but was chargers $3 extra for topping and wasn’t even told. The mangoanda was so small I wouldn’t even pay $6 for it If I even knew it was one little Scoop of ice cream and 5 pieces of mango. They didn’t even want to give me the spicy stick it came with. I would have honestly just went to Rita’s up the street where I knew it was cheaper but at least I can say I try it but definitely won’t be back.
