Everytime my family wants to go here I seriously question their life choices.
This restaurant is mediocre at best and the food leaves so much to be desired. Overcooked meat, too much salt all the hallmarks of a mediocre restaurant.
Wallingford has much better to offer. The staff can be pleasant or downright weird depending who you get.

Food and service were mediocre to poor. No one was rude but not very friendly or attentive. We had to ask for napkins (we had none) and water refills multiple times because they kept forgetting. Food was barely edible and pricey. Would never return.

Randomly cancelled my online order for no reason, 10 minutes after the order was placed. Waste of time. Was not offered to redo the order or anything. The place smells like an old house basement anyways.

Great experience with my boyfriend for dinner. Our server Jill was very friendly and personable. The food was great. I recommend the fish & chips as well as the gluten free chocolate lava cake for those who are gluten sensitive and have a sweet tooth!

Very casual atmosphere. Sat at the bar, very friendly bartenders and good menu selection. Ordered the quesadilla. It was great and was packed. Good as a meal by itself.

The place would have been good but the waitress we had was rude beyond belief. The waitress would make rude comments such as she wants to go home or you’re asking for too much when we wanted to see the cocktail menu again, and when we said we take the check she said, thank you I want to leave. If your staff doesn’t want to be there don’t ruin our experience. We weren’t there late nor were we asking for anything more than decent service. To add to the rude waitress my wife and I got food poisoning. Very disappointed would not recommend wasting money or time.

Summer is the best time of year at Gaetano’s Tavern on Main. The Soft Shell Crab, Fried Oysters and Whole Belly Clams are phenomenal. Or choose anything on the menu. You won’t be disappointed. Yum!

We celebrated our Mom's 90th birthday this past Sunday at Gaetano's and just wanted everyone to know what a great party it was. Food was great and the service was superb. Debbie, Jill and staff did a wonderful job! Will definitely be back. Thank you!!
