Today I had lunch there for the third time with a dear friend.I have to say everything I’ve had has always been incredibly delish! The macaroni salad is to die for— I could eat that by the bucketful! The owner, Jenna, is a delight. I watched her fastidiously arrange fresh cut flowers today. The place is adorable, the servers are terrific, and her chef is amazing! I’ve got to get there sometime soon for their breakfast.Loooovee the place. Go there. You will NOT be disappointed!Katherine Kennedy ?❤️?

I originally rated this place with 5 stars because I came and got breakfast for my children, and a coffee that I was willing to over look things. Like the cashier checking me out for a muffin, then forgetting to give me my muffin as I stood there. This time I decided let’s dine in. I come in on my days off, looking like bottom of the barrel with my kids morning clothes to see if we will receive good service. I have lived on Main Street for nearly 20 years and love seeing when there’s a new place to dine in at. I’ve seen them come and go, nevertheless, I took my children here and when I saw the lunch menu they had a kids menu. I ordered from the “left side” where the waitress then told me that they don’t serve any of the food on that side due to it being lunch. I 100% understood that and ordered my children something else. We received our food, and the lunch food was alright. However, this place doesn’t seem to be very family friendly type of location for a person with younger children. Honestly, if you have young children probably best to go else where.

Absolutely outstanding. From expertly prepared coffee to pastries to mains there is something for everyone.French fry fans: their fries are crispy diner-type fries. Amazing. We cleaned our plates it was so delicious!! We were so happy with the food that we didn't even stop to take pictures. Everything we ordered arrived so aesthetically prepared.Bee theme is well executed and makes for a very cute experience. Very trendy but cozy decor, very bright interior was perfect for our brunch. Even the dishes and cups were modern and added to the clean trendy atmosphere. If you come too late for breakfast they still have a classic egg sandwich on the menu to satisfy!!Vegetarian and omnivore options are all exceedingly spectacular. The owner was on duty and very active in the workflow, got the opportunity to find out their current chef is vegetarian: it really shows. The vegetables were all prepared with care and attention to each vegetable. The crispy tofu was exactly what I wanted in a very veggie salad.I am not a vegetarian but I am always looking for a delicious salad that truly feels like a meal. The portion was ample but not overwhelming and the assortment of ingredients worked in perfect harmony. They stock some of the most beautiful pastries in the county and we were lucky to get the last apple turnover of the day.Perfect date spot to take your gluten free and veg friends to!! Will be back! They have wine and booch (kombucha) if you're looking for that!!There was take out but I'm very glad we dined in. The staff was very warm and helpful and really knew the dishes. I got a coffee with honey candy on top and it was next level cute and delicious.A little more expensive than we planned for a Thursday brunch but I don't regret getting everything we wanted. Everything we tried was fabulous. Really great experience and really worth it, great meal experience for what adds up to be a very reasonable price with the top notch quality.Whee! Bees!Vegetarian options: As of 3/14/24 they have a chef who is vegetarian so your meals are already being prepared with more care than the average restaurant. Vegetables were hearty and all prepared with respect to each veg! Yum! Tofu was flavorful.Dietary restrictions: Very attentive to allergy needs, if they can't accommodate your needs they aren't messing around and will be honest. They had a sign right as you walk in reminding anyone with allergies to notify staff and I heard them having some good interactions with someone who mentioned food sensitivity.Parking: We parked just around the corner. It's well worth a short walk around the corner if you don't see something right out front.Kid-friendliness: There were two well behaved children who came in during our visit and they were offered a high chair but were just big enough for chairs. and their drinks were served in unbreakable cups with lids which I think counts as kid friendly. Would be good for a fancy and special (small) tea party for older kids.Wheelchair accessibility: There is one 1-2 inch step as you go in. It's pretty flat as far as steps go and I'm not a wheelchair user but it looks like with or possibly without help a wheelchair would be able to scale the step. There are tables that could easily accommodate a wheelchair user. Their bathroom was large and probably large enough to maneuver a walker, chair or power chair but you would want to call ahead if this is a concern they are very approachable and considerate.

What a cute bistro! First, not very large place very quaint, we had a party of 6 and there's only one table that could fit us. We needed to wait about 20 minutes. The size was perfect for our crowd. If you happen to go on a warm day there is outside seating also. The wait staff was great so pleasant. Once seated we ordered beverages they did offer Mimosas which were yummy. The food is prepared to order you can definitely tell by the freshness. The Cobb salad was made fresh and not a small portion. The smash burger (no bun) was so good not dry and perfect on the side salad! We had the shaved steak sandwich, the stinger and build your own also. All great choices and no togo bags! There are GF and Vegan options also. Get the miso honeycomb cookie...OMG! Yummy!! Regan and her kitchen staff do a great job go see for yourself!

First thing we noticed as we entered the building was bright flowers and friendly staff. The vibrant atmosphere along with creative menu pairs perfectly with the theme of the bistro. There is no parking lot but it was fairly easy to find street parking. We arrived late for the breakfast menu but tried some of the items on the lunch menu along with their special Lattes. The Berrie Latte was great with a light fruity foam on the top but their Samoa iced coffee is the real treat. The coconut, caramel rim is to die for. For food we ordered the stinger (chicken sandwich) with sweet potatoes fries and the carpenter bee (A take on philli cheese steak) also with sweet potatoes fries. The stinger was amazing. Perfect tanginess along with a juicy chicken thigh. The carpenter bee was also good but a little too sweet for my taste. It has a wonderful cheese to meat ratio with a house made tomato sauce. If the sauce was a little less sweet, it would be a definite 5/5. The sweet potato fries were perfect. We bought a few croissants and they are fresh and flakey. This is truly a hidden gem in Wallingford.

We stayed in the Wallingford area when we went on some college tours, and stumbled upon this gem for breakfast. What a great spot on a cute street across from the post office. We were lucky enough to get the seating at the front window with lots of morning light. The staff is so friendly they made us feel like we were long lost friends as soon as we walked through the doors. I had the avocado toast with eggs and added bacon for a little extra protein. My son had the breakfast sandwich and hash brown. Both dishes were presented so beautifully, and tasted even better than they look in these photos. I especially loved all of the fresh herbs and chopped tomatoes with sprinkles of seasoning on my avocado toast, and the eggs over medium were cooked perfectly. We also took a fresh blueberry muffin, a scone, and two salted chocolate chip cookies to go for the day ahead - everything was buttery and moist and heavenly! If are in the area, I hope you go here and support this lovely restaurant and bakery.

Really busy place, long wait on a Sunday lunch. The food is very flavorful and tastes fresh. Coffee is great as well. Servers are a little strange, ours kept pushing my husband to add things to his coffee instead of have it black, and also convinced him to get fries instead of the pasta salad. He thought she was telling him the sandwich comes with fries and he said "sure" didn't realize it actually came with pasta salad and the fries were a substitution. He actually wanted the pasta salad instead. Besides that, I loved the chicken salad sandwich! Wish the side salad portion was a tad bigger.

Great little breakfast, brunch, lunch spot in Wallingford. Really great atmosphere, service was good even though they were busy. Coffee was excellent. I liked that they stayed with the bees theme-- waffles were honeycomb shaped. Although menu wasn't super big, choices/options were solid.

My wife and I had our first visit today, lunch on a rainy Tuesday. We got the last table open at 12:15, the bistro was hopping despite the weather. One bite of our food and we could see why! The "Stinger" buttermilk fried chicken sandwich was absolutely fantastic and my wife loved the falafel sandwich too. Even the coffee tasted great. The meal was prepared with a lot of care for the ingredients which showed in every bite we took. Not a regular lunch experience; this is the best food you can have dining out in Wallingford!

It was on my list to try here for a little while! The restaurant is in a great location and is super cute. The wait was about 35min for two people on a Sunday morning around 11am. The staff was kind and you can tell very busy! The inside is small but with a good amount of seating. The menu is smaller but I feel like there is something for everyone. Their snickerdoodle late was the best coffee I've had in a while! It would be a super cute place to have an event and the food was good!

I am glad I was able to visit Bees Knees Bistro in the heart of Wallingford. Such a cute restaurant. Little bees here and there! Plenty of seating however the inside isn't that big and it gets busy so there are waiting times . My friend and I both ordered sandwiches. A breakfast sandwich which is one they seem to have all day ( The Basic Bee) and she ordered a sandwich item from the lunch menu . We thought breakfast was served all day with lunch and unfortunately there is a cutoff time until breakfast stops being served so I missed ordering from the breakfast menu . While we waited we had coffee. It was a beautiful morning but cold. Perfect to try a second cup of coffee to accompany my sandwich. The food did take quite a bit to come out . Food was fresh , flavorful and delicious. Great options on the menu too. Gluten free bread didn't crumble either. There are some bakery items they sell by the register you can buy. Owner is a wonder person. I was happy to have met her! I'd definitely go back since there are breakfast dishes I wanted to try. In addition to trying other flavored coffees/ lattes!
