Beautiful location, I loved the wines I tried and the staff was so kind, pleasant, and helpful. They truly made the experience great. Will definitely be going back.

A beautiful vineyard!

It was established in 1787. It became Connecticut's first winery in 1979. It's located near Lake Waramaug; such a serene place to relax and drink some wine. They also have wine flights and charcuterie boards. We went when an event was happening; many awesome vendors selling their products. The lawn had plenty of tables to relax at and even sculptures. There were ample parking available. The service and wine were great too. It's definitely up there with one of my favorite vineyards in CT!

We like outside seating area. Staff is very friendly. Check out sculptures outside

Our personal favorite vineyard, great reds and some good dry whites. The Sachems Picnic is tasty if you like sweet red. Also the upstairs cheese bar is cute

The best part was the staff being friendly, however, due to the good reviews and the hype I came the wine was awful. Hands down a disappointing experience. Wish I could have a reimbursement due to wishing I never tried it. Terrible terrible wine, but good view I guess?? Not sure what the hype was. Underwhelming and a waste a time.

We came here on a nice summer afternoon and had 2 of their wine flights. The staff were all so friendly and pleasant.

There was lots of seating both indoors and outdoors. Outdoors they have pinic tables and some regular tables. There was a live musician and the vibes were great! Their wines weren't our favourite overall but we had a great time

So wonderful! Stopped by here after a terrible experience at Sunset Meadows and was relieved by the service and delicious top notch wines. Lynn was absolutely amazing, her energy and presence really saved our day. We even met the wine maker who was very nice and easy going. The Peach wine is a new favorite of mine and my friend fell for the Picnic wine. We left with several bottles and will be back soon! In addition, the atmosphere was quaint and the view; stunning!

Great atmosphere with a very friendly staff. We brought our four chihuahuas in a stroller, and they were treated like royalty. Quality wine selection offered up by one of Connecticut's oldest vineyards.

Went to Hopkins Vineyard today as we go every year for many years for our anniversary. Was very disappointed tried to get waited on when we first walked in as the women was talking to a friend as I stood there to get waited on and got ignored as she chatted with the women so we went to the bar where I waited again and I finally asked if we can get wine but not a flight? She then said we do flights here but yes we can have a glass a wine. As we waited the bar girl was just cleaning not waiting on anyone and waited for her as we decided to by a bottle of wine. Again no service and it was not even busy at the tasting. We decided to leave and made a comment how rude this was as she did not wait on us and decided to go to another winery and had the best service! So angry how we were treated. Never in all the years we been here. 😡

Wine is subjective and we like the wine however the people working at the winery are second to none. Always very pleasant and helpful. We always enjoy our time at Hopkins

Stopped at Hopkins after a day of sightseeing. Beautiful setting and great selection of wines. Geba was awesome. Very friendly and personable. She suggested the Rose and it was great, light and crisp. Another employee, I did not get her name, was also great. She came over to say hi to my puppy and gave him treats.

Every vineyard and winery is different, and part of the fun for me is checking them out. We all have different tastes so I suggest you do a flight to see what you like. There are food items to purchase as well as all sorts of knick-knacks. Indoor and outdoor seating is available, and on many nights, there's live music, too. Across the street is the Hopkins Inn which has an amazing restaurant with lake views and outdoor/indoor seating.
