We made a reservation online but were very sad to see when we arrived that the restaurant was dark. Although there was no sign on the door or an indication anywhere online that they were no longer open, we were unable to reach anyone by phone nor confirm closure. We did see a for lease sign upon arrival but still were left confused about the status. We are sorry we were not able to fulfill the reservation although it was confirmed.

The food was honestly really really amazing. The waitress was very nice and the restaurant is well decorated. The only thing stopping this from getting 5 stars is I wish the lighting in the dining area was a bit brighter. It made it very hard to see the menu and I kept losing my phone since it has a dark case.

I don't want to do this but here goes. I went to this establishment for the first time with my companion about six months ago. My first experience was amazing. The food and service were on point. Delicious, creative food and attentive service. Something new and refreshing in an area known to be lacking in variety as far as restaurants go. I had really high hopes for this establishment and was excited about returning. The second time we went, the experience was even better than the first and I was happy that there seemed to be consistency with the food and service - until last night. Let's just say the third time was definitely not the charm. We had a reservation and I looked forward to it all day. Once we arrived, we were the only party in the place. I didn't take notice to this much at first. Even though it was a Friday night, I figured perhaps more people would show up in a little while. We remained the only party there for the duration of our visit. Anyway, the server approached our table and asked if we wanted sparkling or flat water. We opted for the flat. She brought us our water and then asked us if we would like something to drink. I inquired about a certain wine and she candidly told me there is an issue with their distributor and the selection is very limited. This tidbit of unwanted info struck me as odd, but I settled for a glass of Pinot Grigio. Once we received our drinks and decided what we were going to eat we placed our order. We ordered the chicken skewers with peanut sauce. Now I have a tree nut allergy and I know what I can and cannot eat with regard to nuts. Peanuts are not something I am allergic to because they are a legume. They are in the bean family. So I can certainly eat peanuts with no issues. And because I've had this dish the last two times I was there, I felt comfortable ordering it. This is where it gets ugly. The skewers were brought to us barely cooked although cooked enough to consume. They were rubbery and tasteless. The worst part was that I noticed the peanut sauce, which is very delicious, was topped with crushed pistachios. I'm glad I noticed this because the lighting in there was very dim and something was off when I took a look at the peanut sauce. I promptly got up from the table and brought it over to the server who was at the bar, and let her know that I have a potentially fatal tree nut allergy and if I could please have another order of the peanut sauce. Minus the pistachios. She apologized and so did I, although I don't even know what I was apologizing for because I can't help that I was born with a tree nut allergy. She told me they would have to make up another batch but it would be out in a moment. I happily obliged and went back to the table. Then proceeded to listen to our server, who was definitely within earshot of our table, explain to whoever was in the kitchen over and over again, that I am allergic to nuts. It's as if whoever was doing the cooking was giving her a hard time that I sent the sauce back. It was awkward and it made me feel bad. I felt like I did something wrong when I know I didn't. The fact that I had to listen to the exchange between the server and whoever was in the kitchen was awkward and made me feel uneasy the rest of the evening. I ordered the burger and my partner ordered the flatbread. The burger was undercooked even though I ordered it medium rare. But it was tasty and I ate half of it. Brought the other half home so I could put it in the microwave to finish cooking it. My partner ordered the flatbread and said it was definitely not as good as the first time we went. Our server kept asking if things were ok a few too many times and seemed quite flustered and rushed. I was afraid to say anything else because I didn't want to have to listen to another exchange between her and whoever was in the kitchen. We sucked it up and paid our bill and left. Normally we would've had a couple more drinks and possibly dessert. But we could not wait to leave. It is very unfortunate that whoever runs th

Some people have minor fetishes to black & white cows (my wife), some to pigs (me), some to roosters (a friend), and some to goats. Yup, goats. And that would be my sister-in-law. And that is the reason for our visit to Flemming's a few weeks ago to celebrate her 70th birthday. Her daughter found a goat farm in the area and decided to invite the gang and surprise her mom. Also on the menu that day was brunch for twenty-three of her nearest and dearest, and MY surprise, I was tapped to find a place nearby. Understand that this goat farm is pretty much in the middle of nowhere (very rural CT), so finding a lunch/brunch place to accomodate that kind of crowd was going to be difficult at best.I pretty much researched every restaurant within 30 miles of the goat farm and eventually came across Flemming's. Their menu looked terrific (it was actually brunch!) but I worried about the capacity. So, having found a restaurant I thought was suitable, I handed over the specifics to my wife. She and the owner spoke at length about our surprise plans and we were assured they could not only handle our group, but that they could provide some gluten-free and kosher items as well - BINGO!The owner graciously provided us with three very competent waitstaff who all took tremendous care of the needs of people ages 2-72. This was no easy task! The food (we all ordered off the menu ala carte) was delicious and beautifully presented. The owner made sure everyone was pleased... and we were.My very surprised sister-in-law will be talking about her special day for a very long time... witha huge smile on her face!

Attention to details. From slightly unique flatware and wine glasses, to the slightly uncommon flavor combinations, we enjoyed every pleasant surprise. Food was outstanding. Service was genuinely friendly. This place is a great addition to the options in the area.

Came here for lunch. Had a very cool vibe and the staff were super friendly. I had the salmon sliders - they were terrific and much bigger than I thought they were going to be. 2 slides with a generous amounts of salmon. I knew it was going to be good when they recommended the fish should be cooked medium rare. The fries were seasoned with deliciousness. Seriously. My husband had the vermicelli with steak and said the flavors were good and it was surprisingly filling. He had the tipsy butterfly and it was pretty strong and tasty. My daughter had the flatbread and didn't complain, which is quite the compliment. The prices are a bit on the higher side but so was the quality so we were satisfied and would def go back!

All we can say is WOW! And Thank you! For all the locals, as well as visitors to the area, you are truly missing out on something special and unique if you don't pay them a visit. It was a very stormy night and I made reservations to celebrate my wife's birthday (as well as my own) and Chef Flemming and Josh did not disappoint one bit. A bouquet of flowers and a bottle of Prosecco chilled on ice were waiting for us at our table. Upon arrival we were greeted like old friends. Their hospitality and attentiveness to detail and the occasion made us feel right at home. We loved the decor and the overall vibe. The duck spring rolls (a must) were off the charts delicious and we couldn't get enough of the fried rice that had just the right kick to it. The added sampling of home made bacon jam on crostini to start things off made it a most memorable night. The entire meal from beginning to end was top notch and not to be outdone you should know that Josh brews a mean pot of coffee! Thanks again for everything and we wish you all the success you deserve now and in the future for all your hard work. Can't wait to come back!

I've eaten there a couple of times since it opened earlier this year. Have had the salmon sliders, the duck spring roll, the bang bang shrimp, the shrimp pad tai and the chicken satay. All, without a doubt, are more than a step above, in both creativity and quality, than most of the traditional fare found in these environs. There's only two reasons why my rating wasn't higher. First, the menu is beyond eclectic, beyond eccentric, it's bizarre. Too many different cuisines combined together, what with flatbreads, tacos and asian stuff (which I wish they would focus on) all on the same menu. More importantly, though, is price. $37 for shrimp pad tai? But what really caught my eyes is the "American Breakfast" where for $20 you get 2 pancakes, 2 eggs, bacon or ham and, in a completely unnecessarily carb overload, toast and home fries. A very good diner in New Milford offers the essentials of the same for $12. They gotta get a grip on menu offerings and price or, as is clear from the number of people dining there when I was there, they're not going to make it. Which, frankly, I think would be a real shame given, again, the creativity and quality of what I was served.

Just celebrated our anniversary at this New Hidden Valley restaurant. Delicious. We shared a lovely Buretta flatbread with bacon jam& it was worth the slight wait. I loved my Pad Thai with shrimp; the rice noodles were perfectly cooked, the egg was fluffy, the seasonings great, the chef even prepared the shrimp with the tails off (as it should always be, but often is forgotten)! My spouse had the chef special omelet of the day& didn’t leave a speck on the plate! I tried the butterfly lemonade, it was pretty and different. Hats off to you all I hope more people discover you. Love the new colors and energy. Best wishes for success.

We wandered by Flemming's on our way to a hike, and we're very happy to have stopped. What a hip little restaurant. The server was very welcoming, and the food was excellent. Three picky kids enjoyed themselves, and we did as well!

Yum yum yum!! Our only regret is that we live in Washington Depot and didn’t try out this new-ish place sooner. The eclectic menu delivers 5* food. We each ordered salmon sliders, Vermicelli noodle with shrimp and beef tacos and loved every bite. Service is attentive and professional. Food is excellent - we will definitely go back and try the dinner menu. A hidden gem. Highly recommend!

My friend and I had our first meal at Fleming's on Friday. It will not be our last! We sat outside on the porch area. The table welcomed us with flowers. The white cloth napkins were tied with sky blue ribbons. Our waiter could not have been more adept at greeting and serving us. The menu offered a nice variety of choices. And then came the food. Everything was wonderful...presentation, flavor, total enjoyment. The omelet of the day was loaded with tasty mushrooms. The accompaniments were yummy. My friend raved about her taco and fries. We sat on the porch chatting for a long time after our meal. Lunch hour was over, so our waiter continued to cater to our ever need, with cheerfulness, making the extra effort to continue his warm welcome! We're planning our return visit!
