I don't live close to Marty's, but whenever I'm close by, I stop by for the tasty food (I enjoyed the wheat berry salad this time!) and the friendly atmosphere.”

“Went on Friday night and enjoyed an amazing dinner. One of the friends with us is Vegan and it was so nice to have vegan options for her as well. Service was fantastic, never waited on anything. A special touch is the owner visits each table to ensure we are enjoying ourselves and the food. “Wife and I went out to dinner and as usual food was on point. Base menu is always good and they always have a seasonal menu of great options. I tried the smoked old fashion and it was a home run. They put on the whole show and smoked the drink right at the table. Definitely not a disappointment. They always have seasonal drinks and come up and ask how they were. Lots of care in the food and drinks they put on the menu.”

“My husband and I got a custom order that consisted of a dozen mini croissants and a dozen lemon madelines for a brunch. Everything was delicious! No croissants were left untouched and we got so many compliments. We happily spread the word of where they were from. Great customer service, too. Highly recommend!”

“The place is sort of a cross between a deli, a restaurant, and a market. They serve breakfast and lots of prepared foods are available for lunch. They also sell specialty items like maple syrup and chocolate. A nice place to stay for a meal. My breakfast sandwich was perfect. Surprisingly decent prices too.”

“Why clean the milkshake machine 15m before close? Isn’t equipment supposed to be cleaned after close? My family came in, and at 7:44 we asked if we could have 4 milkshakes, and they said “sorry the milkshake machine has been cleaned we don’t do them 15m before close.” … I do find that a bit silly especially during peak season, when it takes minutes to clean a milkshake machine.

Ice cream itself is always amazing, I guess I’ll have to come order my milkshakes 20m before close.”

“I am in from South Carolina and my friends brought me to John’s Cafe. Everything from start to finish was amazing! Signature cocktails, (They had a Pumpkin Russian cocktail that was amazing) appetizers, entrees , and desserts were all great! It is hard to be on point every course, however this restaurant delivered!! Would recommend!!”

“We had the pleasure of dining here for the first time this evening! WOW! How have we not tried this restaurant until now?!! Exceptional dining experience! Started with smoked wings and the shishito peppers, which were out of this world good! Fish and chips with fries done in duck fat, Mac n cheese with short rib was soooo good with the Gouda cheese! Julia was an amazing server! It is difficult to find even a good dining experience these days…we would rate this one as exceptional!”
