“I had passed the Tavern many times when driving through town and finally got to stop in for lunch. It is an unassuming looking place, which often has lots of cars parked there and I was pleasantly surprised. It is very clean, there is a cool bar, lots of indoor and outdoor seating and a large covered outdoor space as well. The server was very friendly and helpful. We had two chicken club salads with ranch and I have to say these were the so delicious. I never expect a salad to taste that good. The chicken was warm and very juicy, the salad very flavorful and the ranch dressing tasted homemade. We look forward to coming back for dinner including wings!”
“Had the most wonderful dinner experience at Materia last night. Essentially we went as we had been made aware that our favorite mixologist, Orlando (formerly of the Mayflower Inn) was now behind their bar. From beginning to end, we could not have had a better evening. Host was helpful, no one minded we wanted to spend some time at the bar before our meal so we would see Orlando. We were greeted with such warmth and Orlando even remembered our favorite champagne, and had it ready for us! After spending some time catching up, we went to dinner Dining room is gorgeous, quiet and soft music in the background. Menu was terrific, hard to decide what to get. Ultimately we enjoyed perfectly grilled calamari and octopus for starters and Monkfish and linguine with clams. Everything was fantastic. Service was attentive and polite. All in all, one of the best dining experiences we had all year!!! Can’t wait for our next trip!”
“This is a rare combination of great product, knowledgeable and gracious staff, and a dedicated owner who’s a coffee-jack-of-all-trades. Want a great on-the-premise roasted bean for your french press, no problem. Have a moody Italian espresso machine that needs serviced after years of neglect, say no more. John does it all and with a smile on his face. Small towns rarely have these types of establishments or purveyors any more. Sherman is so lucky that it does.”
“This restaurant ranks with some of the best I have been to. There arraay of apps from octopus to a beet salad to fois gras are absolutely fresh and on point. The dinners Steak encrusted in bone marrow, halibut poached in olive oil and peking duck with yuzu honey were simply the best I've had. Thank You”
“We cannot sing enough praise for Lucia—and neither can any friend or family member we have brought with us! My husband and I enjoy dining at Lucia as much as the wallets allow. We have brought family from as near as New Fairfield & Danbury — and as far as England & Europe! We just love it here! The owners, the Chef and staff are tops!!! Tonight we experienced a newer member of their staff, Raj. He was amazing, and Stacy is always a delight. The bar was busy but their amazing bartender didn’t skip a beat with our drinks and requests. She was brilliant. Salads, appetizers and mains were perfection. We ordered off the main menu as well as from the specials. We had another great night tonight! Thanks to all!”
“We have been there multiple times and never once disappointed. The staff is amazing and the food, from the apps to desserts, devine. I've brought friends and family and the concensus is always the same. Good Eats gets everything right.”
“Wild how the universe brings people together and where the days as well as moments go. T'was my birthday yesterday and I was just rolling with the day. Started off working out then went for a hike in Morris. After that bumped into a buddy and started to geek out on some home roasted and brewed java. Then trying to keep the cup filled we ventured to the Krafted Brew Lab and I was enriched with flavors conversations and beautiful people. I am somewhat of a recluse but am spreading my wings glad to have landed there yesterday. Keep up the good work. Can't wait to get back up there. Much respect to y'all!!!”
“We stumbled upon Litchfield Pizza when touring New England. Don’t be put off by the appearance - it’s a pizza parlor after all, with the fluorescent lights to prove it. But the menu is broad and varied, and the prices are reasonable. The daily soup was chicken with orzo. It was fabulous - perfectly seasoned, with hand-shredded pieces of chicken and savory broth. My wife ordered ziti with white clam sauce and I had the meatball grinder. She loved her pasta, and she’s really picky. The clams were freshly sautéed and the pasta was perfectly cooked. The grinder was the best I’ve had. The soft roll soaked up the marinara but didn’t fall apart, the meatballs were nicely seasoned but not spicy, and the marinara was delicious. No beer, wine or liquor sold here, unfortunately. But the food’s good enough to make up for it.I’m a bit snobby about food but I’ll tell you, if you’re ever in Litchfield, don’t miss eating here.”
“Yoko is a solid place for lunch or dinner, with the expanded sushi a lot is added! Very good specials, just remember to check the list when you walk in :DFantastic service, seriously they are on top of their game. Attentive but not pushy. The decor is quite nice but the food is where it's at! Great seafood options and quite the mix at that. Well worth stopping in.”
“My husband and I stopped for lunch during a recent visit to Kent. We were seated on the patio on a lovely summer day. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. The bloody mary was tasty. I had the shrimp & grits topped with a poached egg and it was delicious. Such a unique dish! My husband loved his avocado toast topped with 2 fried eggs.”
“Looking for something different we decided to try the Owl on a rainy Thursday night. We sat at the quaint bar and ordered some appitizers and wine. Very nice relaxing evening ??”
“We did the chef’s tasting menu and I also got the wine pairings. Every single wine pairing was an absolutely phenomenal complement to each dish (except for the last one, which was “merely” a good match for the dish). The Smoked Gold cocktail was definitely a highlight too. We are looking forward to returning when more produce is in season since they source it locally.”
“The fresh baked breads here are fantastic. I always walk out of there with more goods than i intended to get. Don’t forget a cookie or scone for the ride home!”
“A number of months ago during a visit to New Milford, my wife and I had dinner at Vegas Mexican Kitchen. At that time, we were very much impressed with our entire meal. From the appetizer, to the entree and dessert, the food was excellent. It was a welcome experience.Flash forward to this past Wednesday. On a return trip to the area we decided Vegas Mexican Kitchen would be our choice for first night dinner. We were very pleased to find our dining experience was as exceptional as the first visit.Having traveled a bit we realize good authentic Mexican cuisine is hard to find, especially in New England. We have to say this is the best Mexican restaurant we have been to in a very long time.Every item we had tasted fresh, was not overly spiced and the portions were plentiful. The sauces were thick and had the proper flavor from what we would consider central Mexico. From the kitchen staff to the servers, they made our meal a delightful experience. If you want good traditional Mexican, The Vegas Mexican Kitchen is the place to go.Sigan con el buen trabajo. Nos vemos en el viaje de regreso.”
“The Gaylordsville United Methodist Church was closing. We asked for the Gaylordsville Diner to cater the luncheon afterwards. We had Chicken Francese and Lasagna. It was so delicious!!!! Louis and his family went above and beyond with the food they made. They treated us so well. They made a very sad day end on a brighter note. We cannot thank them enough!!! God blessed us with the diner and we ask God to bless Louis and his family for treating us like family. THANK YOU!!!”
“Everything really was great from start to finish. The staff was friendly, welcoming and attentive. The cocktails were delicious and so were both meals. Highly recommend the Greca paella and if they have the skirt steak on the special list, get it!”
“What a gem in western CT it was our first visit there and we will surely be backWarm and inviting with a friendly staff. The wine was good and the live music enjoyable. A very productive Sunday funday ! ?”
“OMG! I am so grateful for the vegan options! My amazing coworker has brought Mexican hot chocolate pie bars and mocha silk bars in and they are too die for! Highlyyyy recommend!”
“Great service! Excellent sushi! Good company at the sushi bar. Owner is personable and knowledgeable. We had a great time and enjoyed delicious food! Will be making a trip in the future!”
“In short, I had my daughter’s baptism lunch at Al Dente and here is what you need to know: exceptional, kind and hard working staff, delicious food with large proportions, great atmosphere and easy to work with. Whether you’re looking for a phenomenal dining experience or to host an event, look no further than Al Dente.”
“So many flavors to choose from. I choose blueberry brie and goat cheese blackberry. Great choice! My hubby had caramel and peanut butter cookie dough. He loved it too. By far our favorite ice cream place, unfortunately we don’t live in the area but when visiting we definitely go back.”
“**Revised**Swang back thru MT's to give them another try and overall I think they moved the bar up to a 6.75.I have a ton of respect for maintaining a eatery in this market and keeping it consistent with that being said heres the skinnyThis is a old fashioned simple home style version of Mexican...no vertical spit roast for char, no bells n whistles just basic. It's fine but lacks that wow factor. The asada is slightly better than I remember and still no pineapple on the al pastor although the flavor on the pork & the steak was good it was all very dry. These tacos were not messy enough lol. Still the same on the rice n beans with both being very tame and reserved. The pico is good but needs a lil punch.?️?️?️?️?️?️?️?️?️?️?️?️?️?️Recently had an opportunity to try MamaT's and the experience was more or less what I expected. If I had to put a number on it I'd give it a 6.5 which is wayyyy better than some of the other area venues.Tried their street tacos and ordered asada, al pastor, and chorizo along w/a side of rice&beans. Everything came out fairly promptly though you could see they were all worn out from n overwhelming day (they were sold out of a decent amount of items). The portions were pretty much standard for street taco joints. The rice & beans were ok ...Might try it again we'll see there's room for improvement here.”
“Lovely, warm ambiance with down to earth food. Welcoming staff with great service including a "greeter" who made us feel welcome with no school that day.”
“Place is so delicious probably one of the best in New milford pizza is great dinners are great everything about this place is good an a must get of you want something for dinner highly recommend ”
“Best diner in town!!! The food is absolutely delicious and homemade. The vibe is cute and homey. The challah French toast is to die for. I love that they offer local maple syrup as an option. Highly recommend!”
“I forgot to mention on my last review that we always get a vegan pizza to go with our dinners. It is really great crispy pizza with vegetables on top but no cheese. I'm sure all the other pizzas are equally delicious. Lasts for days in the fridge and can be reheated in oven- not microwave because that makes the crust mushy! Really good place!”
“The verdict is in and everyone with the reviews saying this is the best Chinese food in New Milford is correct…The food was outstanding and the staff here is friendly both on the phone and when you arrive.I had the beef with broccoli, lunch, special, and the meat was tender, and the food was simply great. This is takeout. Only, there is no seating here.”
“Great small town place for drinks or food and pizza. 1 side is a diner/restaurant setting. The other side is a small pub with friendly people that are always ready to have fun. Nice outside patio and summer seating as well.”
“Great little cafe. Portions are normal. A bit pricey but the quality of the food is great so far. We have stopped a few times for both breakfast & lunch. Top notch soups as well. Five stars all ”
