While the service took a while given it was a Friday evening and it was busy, the food and drinks did not disappoint. We enjoyed their tiger shrimp appetizer, tripple fried potatoes (yum), a lovely Waldorf-like salad and delicious burger with their works. Overall great meal but a bit pricey!”

“Where to start! This is my second time at Ore Hill and my mind was blown once again. My gf and I had the most wonderful experience ever last night. The vibe at Ore Hill is romantic, intimate, rustic and calm. We participated in the chefs tasting menu with an attached wine pairing that was perfectly matched to the meals we were eating. From the second we walked in the door to the second we left the staff was welcoming, kind, attentive and extremely knowledgeable. Ore Hill sources their produce from a local farm called “Rock Cobble Farm” that they are in collaboration with which makes the dining experience even more special. Everything we ate was fresh and vibrant. Ore Hill truly is a diamond in the rough here in Connecticut and really is branching off from a traditional dining experience. For anyone looking for a romantic and intimate experience, make your way over to Ore Hill. You will be nothing but satisfied and happy. Thank you to the Ore Hill family for our wonderful evening, we will absolutely be returning!”

“This place was delicious! I cannot recommend it enough. We had Helmut as a server and he was great. We asked him for recommendations and they were great! Even though it was very hard to cut through the gluten free pizza crust. But we got it cut and eaten. The rest of our meals were so good! Gluten free pasta, mussels, salmon and pasta, lobster ravioli - all wonderful!”

“Nice place, friendly waitress. We wandered in off the AT just as they opened @4:30 and has a burger and the French dip. Both very tasty and the additional bacon came in 4 large thick strips. Lots of fries. Plenty of ice water, and they offered to fill our reservoirs. They subbed the chips that came with the French dip for a salad with no up charge! Prices a bit higher than older Google photos. Thanks!”
