“This was such a nice dinner. My wife and I were celebrating our birthday and we couldn't ask for a better night. The food was spectacular, the ambience was relaxing, and service was impeccable. The chef came out and walked us through a couple dishes and really made the night for us. What a great guy! I couldn't recommend this place higher.”

“We just held a surprise anniversary dinner and we are more than glad we chose Fife ‘n Drum! Elissa was hands down amazing, she truly made the dinner. No glass ever went more than half empty, not one issue with an order, everything went so smoothly We were given a private spot for our group of 19, she assisted with opening curtains for our surprise reveal, handled cutting and serving the cake we brought. It was fabulous and we couldn’t have asked for anything more.”

We had the fajita chicken and beef combo, which came out sizzling, flavorful, and generously portioned, along with the fish tacos—fresh, perfectly seasoned, and really tasty.

Service was good. Everything tasted fresh and well prepared, with those bold, traditional Mexican flavors you hope for.

Definitely a spot worth trying if you’re craving good Mexican food!”

Now THIS is my kind of place.

A short walk from the Appalachian Trail, Bull’s Bridge Inn has that old-school, dark-and-cozy tavern vibe I love. An actual bar, booths, plenty of tables, low lighting, and a crowd that runs the gamut—from locals and nicely dressed tourists to backpackers who just wandered in off the trail. Somehow, it all works.

And let’s talk about the open-faced steak sandwich with shoestring fries. Get it. Seriously. The kind of meal that makes you stop talking for a minute because you’re too busy eating.

It has character, it has atmosphere, and it doesn’t feel like it’s trying too hard to be anything other than a really good old-fashioned inn and bar.

This is exactly the kind of place I’ll drive back to.”

“Great family run take out place. It has been in Kent for decades. Love to get the Combo Plates for dinner, Sesame Chicken (or whatever entree you want) with egg roll and fried rice for $10.50, really great food! You can replace the fried rice in the combo with Lo Mein for $2…so $12.50 and you’re stuffed, great big portions! It’s really the only restaurant in Kent that I like. Very friendly and family run staff. I’ve lived a bunch of places that have the best Chinese food in the US…tried literally dozens of take out places…Shanghai rates in the top 3 of them for me. Through the hard times, I’m glad they stay here and in business. Thanks, you guys!”

“Anytime we have houseguests, I make the 30 minute drive to Vitsky. The sourdough bread is so delicious and all of the pastries make me drool just thinking about them. Service is quick and friendly. Can't say enough good things about this hidden gem!”

“Stopped in after driving by because there was not much else in the area we wanted to eat. Dont let this place fool youby beaing attached to a gas station. We had a pleasant surprise! The staff was friendly and the food was super fresh. We just ordered a few appetizers. The chicken wings were so hot when they came out , crispy yet still juicy. We also got the mozzarella sticks which are homemade. The chicken nachos and the garlic parm pretzel were so good also. We will def be back to try some of the meals 😋”

“Three years ago, we moved from New York to Texas and I still forever miss Ritchie’s! Growing up in the small town of Amenia, my husband and I always loved grabbing a good breakfast sandwich or an easy lunch there. The hard rolls and bagels are something you just can’t find in Houston. “Been coming here for a few years and I love the tacos at this restaurant in a grocery store. If you’re looking for a trendy, hipster taco spot like in Williamsburg, Brooklyn this isn’t for you. Here you will find a hard working, family owned and run establishment that really cares for the food that is made, along with locals that are really happy to have a place like this for after work meals and shopping convenience.

I usually get the 3 taco platter, with your choice of meat, that comes with rice and black beans. My favorites being chorizo and carne asada tacos loaded with pico de gallo, limes, homemade salsa verde and freshly cut radishes. Wash it down with a Jarrito and sometimes, if I have room for dessert, a freshly cut slice of flan.

Very happy that this place is located on the way to Kent, CT which is where we go to spend some of our weekends. Service is friendly and on point. They will always have my business!”
