I had the Shrimp Santiago, which had perfectly cooked linguine and 7 shrimp, and was presented beautifully. The wife had the Filet of Sole and stated that she loved it. The entrees included freshly heated rolls and a very decent salad. The portions were large, and we both will get a second meal out of them. We also split a Tiramisu dessert that was excellent and very different from any that I've had prior. They have a fairly limited, but well chosen offering of bottled beers, but no draught beer. The prices are very reasonable, and the service was excellent. It's easy to tell that the owner is not new to the restaurant business!”

Owner / Operators George and Tara are typically on location assuring top quality.Well balanced menu offerings make it easy to find something you'll like. “We did the chef’s tasting menu and I also got the wine pairings. Every single wine pairing was an absolutely phenomenal complement to each dish (except for the last one, which was “merely” a good match for the dish). The Smoked Gold cocktail was definitely a highlight too. We are looking forward to returning when more produce is in season since they source it locally.”

“Great place. The food is amazing!!! We've eaten here several times and every time the food is outstanding! Their meals and pizzas are delicious and the sushi is fantastic. We had the Spicy Chicken Katsu and Katsu Deluxe the other night, it blew our minds how good it was!! While the bar/restaurant area is very small and gets crowded quickly, they offer a pick up option on the side of the business (this is the way to go).”

“Vegan review:Came to here after renting an airbnb in Kent for a bachelorette party. We reached out to Sophie's ahead of time because we had a few vegans in our party (myself included), and were looking for somewhere with a few options for them. They were super pleasant and responsive to our questions, and told us they could make us a custom cake for the occasion (we ordered a coffee cake, which was already vegan).They gave us a private room for our party, and allowed us to bring champagne for mimosas. Not only did they have vegan options, but they had a special menu with several additional vegan specials made up and printed out for us! We got the vegan blueberry French toast (awesome), the vegan harissa toast (wow), and the vegan tofu sunrise wrap (honestly so good- so many non-vegan places don't know how to actually use spices to make the tofu TASTE like something, but Sophie's knows their stuff!) they also had a house-made vegan ranch dressing that was the best dressing I've ever had??The non vegans got pancakes, eggs Benedict etc (all the classics) and we had rave reviews all around. Our servers were wonderful. Everyone LOVED the coffee cake, including the non vegans, who couldn't tell the difference. It was so moist and decadent. Coffee was really good. They had some rad looking pastries in the case (several vegan!). Also, not sure if I'm just traumatized by living in NYC, but the prices were GREAT- super affordable.We will definitely go out of our way to make a stop back in the area soon to head back to Sophie's. “WE LOVE Kelly’s ice cream and Kelly’s husband food truck (although we feel sad he doesn’t get to have a name for his own truck! lol). The ice cream is great, I’m obsessed with their daily freshly made waffle cones. Kelly’s husband food truck has great burgers. And we love the decoration on special holidays, the huge gazebo with fire pits and all.”

“I absolutely love Fudgy's Ice Cream! I am a huge fan of their milkshakes, and although I've only been there a couple of times, I've really enjoyed their milkshakes. I got to try four of their flavors and tried some of my mom's chocolate dip shell. I really love the ice cream flavors, swirls, and milkshake options. There are so many things that I wish I could try there, although I'm almost never in the area. I will definitely be here again if I'm nearby or driving through.”

“This is one of those places, as an out of towner, you ask yourself if it’s a good idea to go, as you’re walking up to it. Only to find out it’s filled with great people and great conversation. This is usually the case, but it’s a testament to our country for sure. If a cold beer, darts, keno(QuickDraw), and a speedy bar tender sounds like a good time, then you’ve come to the right place. “I've been going to the Millbrook deli before the new co-owners and they had been so consistent with there food I love it. I always get there hamburger with fries combo and they never mess up my order. The service is great she always greets me with a smile and makes sure I'm doing good. The inside is nicely renovated I love the new looks, and everything about it. Keep on doing what y'all have been doing”

“My partner and I recently took a trip up from the city to visit Serevan, an absolutely exquisite restaurant in the Hudson River Valley. I had dined there many times before and to visit the owner and head chef, Serge Madikians. Each and every time, I was treated like family by the entire staff. As a vegan, Serge made sure to accommodate me with wonderful plant-based dishes; the kitchen is always ready to provide a vegan friendly meal and will accommodate all dietary requirements. Dishes are inventive and exotic, along with being plated like artwork. As for the ambiance, Serevan is one of the most beautiful restaurants I have ever been to. Both my partner and I are in the art field, painter and art historian respectively, and we appreciate the high aesthetics that are found in both Serevan's decor and dishes. We cannot say enough great things about this gem, tucked away in the Hudson River Valley. A must go-to destination!”

“I gave Mimi a 2 hour notice for a party of 10 on my birthday! She did not bat an eye and said " No problem". We ordered 6 different dinners and appetizers. They all came out hot, fresh and delicious, with a smile on her face. This is a hidden gem that we have visited several times before and have never been disappointed. “Kingsley hits all the right buttons. You can sit and eat at the bar if you are feeling social or get a cozy table for two by the window. The chef often comes out to chat to locals and visitors alike and she has no problem taking opinions or praise. The bartender will recommend a cocktail if you ask he is attentive without lurking! All of this plus wonderful food, most of which is sourced locally. There are some permanent items. I love the big bowl of mussels with crusty bread for dipping; last visit they were in a saffron based broth. I highly recommend !”

“My family is of Guatemalan decent, so it is nice seeing an authentic Guatemalan restaurant in the area.Many dishes are very similar to Mexican food so there is something for everyone to enjoy. Have been here probably 10 times for both dine in and take out. Never an issue.Food is freshly made each time. Very good flavor and portions. Very reasonable prices. “Their sandwiches are fantastic, they use real hard rolls with the poppyseeds that most places have moved away from. It's small and not a sit-down place really, they have 2 or 3 small tables. However it's a deli so wouldn't expect them to have a sit-down. Great place to pickup breakfast sandwiches or lunch sandwiches. Best deli in the Dover/Amenia area”
