I was very disappointed with the level of service my party experienced at the Mayflower. Firstly they changed our reservation with any real warning. Then the day of our reservation there was a sign said closed for private event. Then once we were there we called and found out the event was over just an hour before our reservation so luckily we were able to come in. However, our reservation was for the Garden room, but because they had not cleaned the space entirely from the previous event we were moved to the covered porch. Then we were given not the full menu, but one that had roughly 5 items on it because of a wedding that was to take place later that weekend. Our waitress came by once to check on us after we had ordered. And we had to go searching for her later to get our bill as we had something else to get back to. It was just very disappointing especially since my friend and I were looking forward to a nice luncheon.

I was really disappointed by my experience here. I had to wait a very long time at the host stand (even though I had a reservation). The food was bland and, in my opinion, overpriced. While my server was quick and efficient, it took 15 minutes to get my card back after trying to pay. Meanwhile, 4 or 5 staff were wandering around the dining room. Unacceptable for a property which holds itself out to be such a high standard.

The atmosphere was great and everyone was extremely attentive. They knew it was our anniversary and made a point to wish us well. The food was really good except my husband thought his fried chicken sandwich was only ok. There was too much sauce that made it very messy to eat. I would definitely one back but next time I would go brunch.

The best brunch I've had in CT.the location feels like you are in England, and the food outstanding .

We started with Mezcal Bloody Marys which were some of the best we've had. The olives were exceptional. Then we had the spring salad split which was nice but needed a bit more dressing a bit more tang and lemon would have been appreciated, and more snap pea presence. Then shared the turkey club which was delicious. Loved the green goddess dressing and gouda combination. Soft ciabatta roll was perfect. I would order this sandwich every time I come for lunch or brunch. Server was delightful and excellent. Attentive with water and clearing. It was a nice Sunday lunch. Room was lite, bright and airy. A beautiful space. Once the gaggle of children left it was quiet. Children should be seen and not heard it what mo mom used to say jokingly of course! Ha! We had a dessert to finish our meal honoring my late Mother whose birthday was yesterday and if she was still with us she would have turned 95. We shared a nectarine upside cake which was just OK a bit tiny and not caramelized as I would have hoped. It was rather tiny. The ice cream however was full of honeycomb bits which I enjoyed. Overall a lovely meal with great ambiance service and a memory to take with us. Thank you.

The service is top notch. I asked for a Bellini, and the bartender came by to tell me they have peach liqueur rather than syrup. Um… yes please! Best Bellini ever. Stunningly beautiful location and decor. Food was lovely.

A lovely dining room and accompanying gardens/grounds, and excellent service. Food was tasty, but portions were VERY small, especially for the price. While I realize this is a higher-end establishment, charging $11 for a tiny glass of "freshly-squeezed OJ" (which was clearly NOT fresh, and from a carton...unless they did something really wrong to those oranges???), and leaving hungry kept me from giving it 5 stars. Still a lovely spot for brunch.

The Garden Room provided the perfect ambience to celebrate our anniversary. The staff took great care of us and we had a delightful time.

I brought my daughter and two of her friends here for her 13th birthday as part of our "Gilmore Girl Tour." This is the Inn that Amy Sherman-Palladino stayed in while she wrote the show and it definitely seems to have inspired the Dragonfly Inn. The setting was beautiful and the food was delicious!

This was a lovely place to have lunch. The food was delicious and the grounds were beautiful.

Beautiful surroundings. $22 for two pieces of regular bread cut diagonally for french toast? Not even a thick cut brioche? Would not return.

I was seated near the window which has a beautiful view of the garden. Service was efficient and very accommodating. The one thing I will note is that you are charged about $10 for coffee so just a heads up! That aside, everything was fresh and delicious. The vibe is cute, bright, and airy. I'll definitely be returning!!

Such a beautiful setting to enjoy breakfast. Food and service were fantastic. Afterwards we enjoyed a stroll around the beautifully manicured grounds. May Flower is a must see.
