Dont know whats going on. This use to be a great bakery. It would take me back to my days in Puerto Rico as a young man. I guess it most be under new management. I have been coming to this bakery for about 4 years. I always get up early in morning and go to this bakery for the warm freshly made bread. Nice, warm and fluffy bread. Empanada where fresh and tasty. The cheese and guava roll where to die for. Now I'm left with a feeling of disappointment. The quality of the product is not up to the standard I've became use to from what was a favorite spot. When you think of a bakery you think freshness, not overnight or who knows 🤔how long its bread been on the shelf. There are no dates on the bags to give its customers a fighting chance to buy there bread or a moldy mess when you try to eat it the next morning. Hope they get there standards and quality back up and the ladies be more friendly and likeable. With great sadness I write this. You use to make my mornings. Hopefully you will again.

The best bread around! When I stop in Waterbury, I always come by here to grab a loaf of sweet bread and a beef empanada. Bread is delicious and always fresh. They have a variety of pastries too.staff is friendly and helpful. Restaurant is clean

The cashier who helped me was extremely rude and unprofessional. When I asked questions, she ignored me and refused to sell me certain items, saying the store was about to close, even though there was still a line of customers. I was shocked by how dismissive she was, and when I asked for her name, she refused to give it. This was a very disappointing experience and I hope management addresses this type of customer service.

First time visiting and it did not disappoint! If you’re craving authentic Puerto Rican bakery flavors, this is the place to go. We tried the Tripleta (pastrami, pork, turkey) sandwich, a ham-egg-cheese-bacon sandwich, alcapurria, pizza empanada (cheese and pepperoni), fries, quesito, and the highlight for me—freshly squeezed orange juice. We ordered many things for just two of is. We didn’t want to miss out. Everything was fresh and delicious. The tables are setup for at least 4 people to sit. I don’t know if you can move them for a bigger group. They have outside seating also. The staff is very friendly, and I’ll definitely be coming back!

everything was great just didn't like how non of their cakes were for an older person everything or made was light baby blue and white or a light purple and white it was only light frosting and light color blue and pink and very light purple. They did give me the option to write what I wanted on the cake but it wasn't as if I didn't try to say I wanted something a little darker in color they could have added something dark color to the cake even if or made. It doesn't take a lot to go above and beyond for a customer right! The cake tasted good the fruit was good still just same old can strawberries so I want impressed especially when the cake itself was 37.00. Also I said I wanted black or dark blue they still didn't ask me what color to write on the cake so they automatically have me baby blue again. I won't be going back. The girl on the phone was nice and helpful as much as she was capable I guess but I need to feel a little more welcome when going someplace for a new cake for a special occasion. not enough parking I had a hard time figuring that out and the store was very small so they didn't have and variety of dessert not a lot of cookies if any really .. The customer service was nice but I just didn't get what I was looking for

Called to ask if they have sourdough breads, women who answered spoke a foreign language, put me on hold, couldn't even get someone who spoke English to answer my simple question. I Asked 4x and still just got someone speaking another language other than English.

Highly recommend!! Lots of variety available. Extremely reasonably priced. Fiancée and I split a large sandwich, get something sweet for dessert and it’s around $10-$12. Picking up treats and sweets for the fam (a box of cookies, two turnovers, four donuts, and a palmera) is about $20. Delicious cakes, donuts, and turnovers. Always a good selection of cookies. Their sandwiches are huge, and extremely reasonably priced, and so savory and filling. Their empanadas look fresh, hot, and easy to grab and go, but I haven’t yet had any myself. They have cases of larger cakes for any occasion in gorgeous glass displays. A good selection of fresh juices and drinks, coffee, sodas, bottled juice. And of course BREAD! Sweet breads, sandwich rolls, savory, all fresh. There’s also a small fridge with deli meats and cheeses, from which I haven’t personally purchased. This place gets busy, but is always clean, always taken care of, and always a delight to visit. Street parking, or a small lot in the back, both sometimes pretty full depending on the day/hour. Helpful staff, mostly Spanish speaking, but some fluent and most at least partially fluent.

Haven't been in a while so the new layout and upgrades there a surprise. They look really good. Miss the large Johnny cakes they had hopefully I was just too late that day. The bread is still the best and the empanadas very tastie. I think they ate putting more meat in them now.

No tienen nada de las bebidas (lo que está en el menú). The cashier I got told me I had to pay the difference in my orange drink because they had already charged me the capuchino as I want a ice coffee but they didn’t have nor a sugar cane juice. Then she said she would give the cash back as she apparently had to charge me the oj when they didn’t have the cappuccino I was already charged and never given the money back. My “breakfast“ sandwich was basically a lettuce sandwich. I see why no one buys food from here and only pastelitos. $10 for this isn’t worth it I know prices are up but barely ketchup no mayonnaise just lettuce and no cheese on either when one was supposed to have it. It wasn’t crowd so there no excuse for missing ingredients- as I get it if it was a crowded Sunday. I’m not confrontational so I just ate half my sandwich and my son barely touched it nor the oj as my hungry was gone from everything that happened. I didn’t even order a pastry because of how everything went at the end about $30 bucks for 2 sad “breakfast sandwiches“, an oj, a coffee and a non-existent cappuccino since I didn’t get my money back. Only good thing was the coffee prepared by a different lady there. Too bad the pasties looked so good I will never get to try.
