This review is a part of my quest of visiting all CT breweries. I saw Brass Works several times at beer festivals, but this was my first visit to the brewery.
The brewery is nestled in a quaint spot. It has a spacious indoor place and an outdoor patio. The decor inside looks nice. Several board games are available for selection. I visited on Sunday and the place was almost empty, so I enjoyed silence. The brewery does not have a full kitchen, but they do serve pretzels and frozen pizzas. I have tried their pizza and I would not recommend it, as it was pretty dry.
There were 19 beers available during my visit. They offer beer flights of 5 so that you can try multiple beers. I liked their choice for the flights board, as it stood out compared to other breweries. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same about beers. For this review I tried almost all of their beers. While the majority of them were fine and fell within their respective styles, the beers were ordinary and forgettable. They are not bad by any means, but not something that stands out on the craft brewery scene. Out of the beers I tried I enjoyed 10% Charlie (Barrel-Aged stout) and Suck it Up (PB Stout), both had a rich taste with Charlie being a clear winner for me.
This is a nice place to hang out with friends and try new beers. If you're in the area - it's definitely worth checking out. But it might not deserve a dedicated trip.
Came here to grab a drink with my mother while in the waterbury area. This brewery was clean and the staff was friendly and knowledgeable. We enjoyed a hard seltzer and a hard cider. Also played a few games that they have available for customers.
Great beer! Great people
Great stop. All the beers were good
Our “home brewery”. If you are looking for great beer, a quieter atmosphere and a true family run spot this is the place. We always feel welcome, the vibe is wonderful and there are usually rotating food trucks. Often there is live music.
I got myself a tasty IPA flight. Mmmmmmm

It’s a great atmosphere here. They allow dogs and they have corn hole and other games. Good beer selection both draught and cans to-go. Everyone seemed to be having a good time!
Continuum Distillery is in the same lot and they had live music outside. We got a cocktail there too and it was great! These businesses complement each other well and you can tell they have a good relationship.
Definitely would recommend this place to everyone.

Stopped in while on a road trip. Everyone was friendly and helpful. I loved the flights being presented in Connecticut license plates. The outdoor seating area is very relaxing. The beer was solid overall. I would certainly spend time here if I lived in the area.
The servers are great. The atmosphere is good. The beer is decent and flavorful.
